Approval of ITU-T Recommendations
A. By TSB AAP-45 of 16 December 2002, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were approved, in accordance with the procedures outlined in ITU-T Recommendation A.8:

National Numbering Plan of EstoniaEstonian National Communications Board (SIDEAMET), Tallinn, announces the
introduction of a new national numbering plan (NNP) in Estonia (country code +372), and that the Regulation No. 9 of 16 February 2001 of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications "Estonian numbering plan" is in force since 1 November 2002 and Amendment of Regulation No. 9 is in force since 15 November 2002.
General features of the new national numbering plan (NNP)– The existing open numbering scheme will gradually become a closed
numbering plan;– All existing national destination codes (NDC) will be incorporated into the
subscriber numbers (SN). All fixed telephone numbers will become seven-digit long.
Timetable of the essential changes Changes that are in effect since 1 November 2002The geographical areas are changed as follows:
Changes that will be in effect from 1 November 2003The area code will be the part of the national (significant) number (N(S)N). Length of all fixed telephone numbers will be seven digits.
Examples:

network operator or service provider, shall be implemented in Estonia no later than 1 January 2004.

Nepal (country code +977) Communication of 27.XI.2002:
Nepal Telecommunications Corporation (NTC), Kathmandu, announces that the numbering ranges of the fixed and mobile networks will be expanded to incorporate the new telecommunication services. The new national numbering plan (NNP) will be implemented as from 14 March 2003 with a national eight-digit plan for the fixed network. The international public telecommunication number structure will have eleven digits in all, including country code +977 for the fixed network.

Peru (country code +51)Communication of 26.XI.2002:
The Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Lima, announces that a new Basic Technical Numbering Plan (Plan Técnico Fundamental de Numeración) is to be introduced in Peru. The first stage of the Plan will enter into force six months after the date of publication of the Supreme Resolution (Resolución Suprema).
i) The numbering area codes will comprise two (2) digits, with the exception of the area made up of the Departamento de Lima and the Provincia constitucional del Callao. The numbering areas not defined in the following table are being kept in reserve:

The fixed subscriber number (SN) is of a variable length, depending on whether the called subscriber is located within the area covered by code 1 or in any other of the numbering areas.
ii) The mobile code 9 is being kept in reserve for identification of the public mobile network. The national (significant) mobile number is made up of the mobile code 9 and the mobile subscriber number (SN).

b) The "9" is initially considered as being the eighth and seventh digit of the national (significant) mobile number in Lima and in the Provinces, respectively, with the use of other digits becoming possible as and when the Administration deems it appropriate.

c) In this stage, the numbering of the public mobile service is considered to be geographic and will be treated as such.
d) Codes are being created for the numbering areas that will identify a particular department and will serve the function of national long-distance code (TC – Trunk Code).
e) This stage will come into effect six (6) months as from the date of publication, in the official bulletin (diario oficial) of Peru, of the Resolution approving the present Basic Technical Plan.
– Second stage:a) Implementation of the virtual mobile area, whereupon the

The dialling format for the NPA 758 is as follows:All home NPA (HNPA), local calls will be dialled on a seven-digit basis with no
prefix, i.e.: NXX + XXXX , e.g. 450 1234, where 450 is the NXX , and 1234 is the subscriber number (SN).
