Relay for Life “Thank you” to all Homemakers who participated with 2017 Relay for Life. The Homemakers
turned in $1,737 in donations and proceeds from the concession stand. This year the team
was recognized as a Rising Star Team. Great Job!
The total raised in Breckinridge County was $53,883.
One Last Call -- Year End Reports As the year ends, we must take care of the Club & County Chairman reports. We need all
Club Chairman reports to be completed and turned in to the Extension Office by Friday, July
14th. We will have a special county chairman meeting on Tuesday, August 1st at 10 a.m. (ct) to
fill out the county reports.

KY State Fair August 17th-27th The Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to work the
Breckinridge County booth at the KY State Fair. Admission is provided, if you are interested,
please contact Veronica at 270-756-2182. This is a great way to see the fair and earn
volunteer hours.
Hoe Down Day Workdays In looking ahead to fall, work dates have been set for craft workdays. Beginning Tuesday, July 18th and con-
tinuing on for each Tuesday in July, August and September. Homemakers will meet from 9 a.m. to noon each
Tuesday to work on crafts for Hoe Down Day. Please bring ideas and supplies that the group can work
together on.
2018 Area Meeting Breckinridge County Homemakers will be hosting the 2018 Lincoln Trail Area Homemaker
Meeting. Plans are in place for presenting each participants with a crocheted KEHA book
mark. Please contact Shirley Macy at 270-756-2775 if you can help with making these book
marks.

Paper Crafters Scrapbooking The Paper Crafters Club would like to invite everyone out for a creative night of
scrapbooking on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. (ct) in the Extension Office
basement . A small fee will be charged to cover supplies and equipment usage.
Call 270-756-2182 with questions or for more details.
Breckinridge County Sewing Circle The Sewing Circle invites everyone to join them the second Tuesday of each month from 9
a.m. (ct) to noon in the Extension Office basement to work on handmade projects.
Breckinridge County Arts Guild The BCAG meets the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. (ct) in the
Extension Office basement.
New Beginning Class The New Beginning group meets once a month and focuses on making healthy
choices in everyday cooking, exploring new ways to serve nutritious meals and
doing it cost effectively. If you are interested, call Tasha Tucker at the
Extension Office, 270-756-2182 or email [email protected] for more information.

SNAP into Wellness The Kentucky Nutrition Education Program (KYNEP) is a USDA program that is to teach nutrition education to individuals and families.
Participants learn how to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, learn safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior as needed to have a healthier lifestyle. Please come and participate in our next program or feel free to contact
