Everybody’s Birthday fellowship to follow. 20 TH ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY FEBRUARY 10, 2019 Mark your calendars, and plan to join us on Sunday February 10 th as we celebrate 20 years together as a church family. Sharon Jackson and Twilene Macon are leading a team planning an exciting celebration on that Sunday. Lets remember God’s goodness to us and give Him praise and thanksgiving for the wonder of His grace through the years. I invite us to consider the past as we look to the future as He leads us. Maybe the best way to thank Him for His past goodness is to commit to making the future the best yet! Please join me in seeking the Lord as we celebrate 20 years together and then look forward to the next 20 years as we consider Future Focus 2019. Budget Goals for 2019 Last month we adopted our 2019 Budget. The following goals guided our budget proposal. a. This is a visionary budget for 2019 but is still realistic with projected offerings for the coming year in light of offerings for this year 2018. b. Our budget was increased from 3% to 4% on line 204 to enlarge the building maintenance reserves for plans to keep our facilities presentable and in working order. c. A new Family ministry line item has been established along with a new Family ministry leadership team for developing an intentional family ministry. This team lead by Stephanie Canaday (including our youth and children leadership) is already working to provide oversight to this exciting new ministry effort. One exciting thing concerning our budget is that we finished the year strong in our giving. Meeting our 2019 budget goals will take our total cooperation and full support. It takes material resources to be effective in our ministry efforts. That’s the goal of our unified budget proposal. Thank you for your faithful obedience in giving to support the ministry to Faith Fellowship. I invite you to believe with me that God will provide all that is needed to accomplish the God-given goals we strive to accomplish. Future Focus 2019 Beginning Sunday, January 6, 2019, I will call us to focus our attention on God’s directions for us in 2019! Please prayerfully consider Future Focus 2019. Believe with me that “God IS doing a new thing” in and through Faith Fellowship. Isaiah proclaims, “I will do a new thing… will you not be aware of it, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 43) Lets not miss this exciting opportunity to consider and celebrate the “new thing” (spiritually) God is doing. Lets pray for new ideas, a new and renewed spirit, and a new vision that will lead us into the next 20 years! Consider Joshua 3:5, “the Lord will do wonders among you!” And Deuteronomy 1:6-11 when Moses declared to God’s people, you have stayed long enough on this Mountain…Go forward” Let’s believe God for new families and transformed lives dedicated to living for the Lord. I am excited about our future. I believe the lord has called us together for “such a time as this”. Thanks for seeking the Lord with me. I am honored to serve as your pastor! Music Notes What a great Christmas season we have had here at FFBC! Again, I would like to say a huge thank you to all who helped with, participated in, attended and prayed for our “Taste of Christmas” program and fellowship. What a great beginning to the Christmas season it was and I believe helped us all to focus on the real “Reason for the Season.” It’s not just been a great Christmas season but has been a great year for FFBC. God has blessed us in so many ways this year. Our new pastor and wife, Bro. Garry and Donna have been a tremendous blessing to me personally and to our church and community as a whole. I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for us in 2019 and in the years to come.

Special thanks to those who provided special music for worship, our musical and our Christmas Eve service: Children’s choir.”, puppet team, Cassie Lovell and the amazing FFBC choir! Also, thanks to the ladies who play our piano and keyboard and provide great offertories not just at Christmas but all year long!

Looking forward to a great 2019 and all that God is going to do!

Thank You I wanted to thank the church for helping my mom in her time of need. We can not express how appreciative we are for all you’ve done! God bless you! - Helen Cross & Catalina Rumfelt

This January in the Upper Room we will begin a study on Engaging Culture in an Ever-Changing World. Some of the topics we will discuss will be: Unity, Protecting Life, & Calm in a Storm. This study will speak to what the Bible says about many issues our students are being told are okay or acceptable by our world today.

Our Disciple Now is just two months away and we need your help! This will be a wonderful event where you can get to know our students and to be a part of a large Mission Grayson event that will include 8 different churches working together. Because we are working with other churches, we are able to bring in a wonderful speaker from California, Eric Fuller and a fantastic worship band, Ignited. During this weekend we will need small group leaders, host homes, meal prep, and drivers. There are also some other small jobs like registration, material sorting, and printing that will need to be done as well. Disciple Now will be March 1-3, if you can help in any way please contact Stephanie asap, so that we can be sure to be ready to hit the ground running in February as we begin prepping for the weekend.

Our Family Ministry team has been working on how our church can equip parents to be spiritual leaders in their homes and engage parents that are not currently attending a church. In March of 2019 we hope to launch a Faith @ Home center that will help give families the tools they need to meet the spiritual needs of their children. This Faith @ Home center will require many helpers to get it up and running. Some of the jobs include printing, folding, becoming a trained Faith @ Home host, and/or building the Faith @ Home center. Please meet with Kathy or Stephanie, If you would like to help our families by joining with us to prepare for the launch of this great new resource.
