Creating a strong and secure grouting connectionLevelling a jacket foundation into the correct position and creating a grouted connection to keep it secure, is a vital part of the installation process for offshore platforms and wind turbines. Applying jacket pile or skirt pile grippers to secure the jacket, retain the levelled position and offer stability during grouting operations, results in improved grout quality and a reduction in cost. After activation of the grippers the structure can be temporarily abandoned for circumstances such as bad weather, which reduces risk during installation. Load-holding capacity and dimensionsIHC IQIP currently offers pile grippers up to 112 inches in diameter, and with capacities up to 3,800t. The designs for larger diameters and capacities are ready for production. Different operational options and hydraulic circuits are also possible. This flexibility enables IHC IQIP to provide suitable solutions for every jacket installation.
