Thank you to all of the children in our After School Recorder Club, who performed on stage at the Victoria Hall on Tuesday 17th March. We know that you had a fantastic experience and that you made your parents, families and everyone here at Jackfield Infant School extremely proud of you. After School Fun Clubs will begin again in the Summer Term week beginning 05/05/2015. Letters will be sent out again to the children and clubs will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Easter Competition 2015 On Wednesday 1st April we shall be having an Easter Celebration Assembly as a whole school. We will celebrate the festival and the children’s competition entries together during assembly with a parade, competition and singing. Foundation Stage (Nursery/Reception) are invited to make an Easter bonnet for the parade. With the help of the staff, the children will parade their bonnets on the stage in front of the rest of the school. Please bring entries to school on the day and NOT before. Key Stage One (Year 1 & Year 2) will take part in a “Famous Egghead” competition. Children must decorate a hard boiled egg in an egg cup, as a famous person. Please bring the entries in on the day. The entry needs to be labelled with the famous person’s name, child’s name and class. There will be a prize awarded for the best entry in each class. Both competitions will be judged by a special panel on the day. Please note there is a 50p fee per entry. We look forward to seeing some fantastic creative artwork! Well Done to our Recorder Club! Thank you to all of the children in our After School

Recorder Club, who performed on stage at the

Parent & Toddler Group which takes place on Tuesday afternoons 1.30 pm—2.45 pm. Healthy snacks are

available for you and your child— we ask for a

voluntary donation of £1.00. We will be meeting as usual week beginning

Reminder

The visits to the PE Centre have now finished for Reception children.

Reception children will be going to Dimensions swimming pool for swimming lessons in the Summer Term. Further information will be sent

home with the children.

Phonics Homework Books—Phonics Homework Books need to be sent

into school on WEDNESDAY each week.

P.E. KIT Please ensure that your child has their

ALL times. It is quite safe to leave it in

school or take it home to launder at

the weekend or even

at half term.

Year 2 P E Centre Visits

During the Summer Term Year 2 will be

visiting the PE Centre in Burslem every Friday each week. Year 2N will visit for

the first half term. This will commence on Friday 24th April. It is essential that

your child has their full PE kit in school. Further information will be sent home

in a letter from the class teacher.
