Nessie and I were sitting across from each other studying. Whats the

square root of 16? I asked Nessie. She played with her pen, 8? I

nodded, Yes. She smiled a smile that made my heart go weak, You

have a beautiful smile. She was flustered, Thanks Jake. Do you want

more soda? I smiled, Dont worry Ill get mine. The house was quiet

so I followed her to the kitchen with our plates. Esme made the best

pie I had ever tasted, I said. Nessie put her plate in the sink and turned

to the fridge, Yeah it was amazing. I have to get that recipe. Maybe

you could help me make it. I smiled as I stood close to her body,

Yeah. She looked up and gasped. I brushed her hair from her face,

That looks better. She gazed in my eyes as I leaned down to her lips.

It was like an electric shock went through my body. I was no longer

scared of what she would think of me. I pulled away and she lingered

by my chest, Wow, you are an amazing kisser. I chuckled, Your

better. We kissed again. Her soft arms on my chest were greater than

whip cream on ice cream. That took our friendship to another level, my

level.

Nessie and I were sitting in the living room watching TV. I'm not sure

what we were watching; I was too busy focused on ness. Just last night I

finally told her I imprinted on her. Her reaction was better than I

couldve imagined. Jake, ness said to me. I laid my head on her head,

Hmm? I murmured. She took my hand, What exactly is imprinting? I

shifted her so she could look at me, You really want to know? She

looked a little worried, Why is it something bad? I answered quickly

for her sake, No its not a bad thing at all. Its like when you see her,

everything changes. Nothing else matters its just her. It enables me to

know who is my soul mate by these feelings I feel. Ness took my hand,

And you imprinted on me? I nodded, Yes, only you. She asked

another question, So does this imprinting have any rules? I thoughtdeeply, No but it does make me very protective, loving and caring

toward you. She smiled and leaned on my chest, I love you. I smiled

greatly, I love you too. I leaned down and kissed her sweetly. We kept

kissing for a while. She rubbed her hands on my stomach andI got a

sensation I never had before. It felt marvelous on my body. I pulled

away and gasped for air and hesitated moving any further. She pushed

on and rubbed my body. We were interrupted by Edward rushingthrough the door, Jacob. He stepped forward to me as ness got off of

me. I stood and faced him. Bella rushed behind him stopping him but

he hit me. He gave me a punch I would never forget in my face. He

started rambling on about something that I couldnt make out. I

became dizzy and everything was distorted. I dropped to my knees and

was out.

Jacob, Jacob wake up, it was Edward. It sounded like we were in

water or something. I finally came to with my head pounding. I put my

hand to my head and winced. It hurt so badly. Nessie jumped on me,

Jake thank god youre okay. I smiled, What happened. Edward

pulled me up with shouts of Nessie and Bella. I took a step and almost

fell over so they put me on the couch. What happened? I said again

very drowsily. Edward stood in front of me, After what I heard in yourhead I decked you, sorry about the strength. I scuffed, No problem

didnt hurt a bit. Nessie sat next to me on the couch as I was given a

cold pack for my head. Could I have a minute with you? I nodded but

it hurt so I said, Sure. Everyone around us walked away leaving me,

Edward and I together. So about what just happened; Jake you know

better than me what I expect from you. I expect you to treat her right

and I expect you to control yourself in a given situation. I tried to

interrupt but he kept talking, That means if you have to say no you doit. I thought in my mind, do you know how hard it is to pull away? She

is my only love and the imprinting only makes it even harder.Edward sat

closer to me, Jacob I understand everything you thought but you need

to wait. If I catch you thinking like I heard earlier, it wont be pretty. I

just simply said, Yes sir. Now that my head was better I put down the

ice and went to find Nessie. Edward stopped me, Where are you

going? I thought in my head, let me talk to her. I walked up the stairsslowly giving her as much time as possible. I got to her bedroom, 3

doors down, and waited. I looked in to see she was sitting on her chair;

I knocked. Her head moved to the door as I peeked my head in, May I

come in? she nodded. I walked in and sat next to her, What did my

dad say? I sighed, Overall point was that we need to calm down

because we have our entire lives together. Now I really love you but we

need to listen to your dad. That punch had enough strength in it. I

giggled but she didnt think it was funny. We held each other for a while

before I needed to get onto patrol. It was my last one before my 2 week

break.

I patrolled for 7 hours, my longest yet. Afterward I walked to the

Cullens because I really missed Nessie. I opened the door finding

Edward and Bella on the couch. Edward was sleeping with Bella in hisarms. Hey Jake, Bella said warmly. Hey bells wheres ness? she

lazily pointed her finger to the stairs, Her bedroom. I also heard a

moan from Edward, Jacob, dont even think about it. I was a little

flustered, Sorry Edward. I ran up the stairs not taking any longer of

not seeing ness. Her door was opened and she was reading a book.

Nessie baby I'm back, I said as I rushed in to greet her. She rushed

into my arms with forced, I missed you so much. She said to me. I

sighed, I missed you so much more. She walked me over to the chairand pushed me down. She sat on my lap promptly. Uh, I'm so tired. Do

you know how long 7 hours of walking around is? She leaned against

me and sat between my legs, I'm going to guess, 7 hours of walking

around is pretty hard. I barely heard her last sentence; I fell asleep.

I had to be out for a while because when I woke up Nessie's clock said

5:30. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I slept for 5 hours. I went to the

bathroom and then walked down the stairs. Everyone was in the living

room huddled around the TV watching a movie. I guess they heard me

because they all looked at me. Hey Jake, they all screamed. I was still

a little drowsy but I managed to find a seat next to ness. Hey babe, I

told her. She snuggled against me, How was your nap? I smiled, It

was nice, just what I needed. Mm, whats Esme cooking? She laid her

head on my shoulder, Cookies and pies. I moved my hand in a happyway, Yes, they smell so good. Nessie laughed, Go ahead get some. I

chuckled, Thank you. I got up and went to the kitchen. I cut a

largepiece of chocolate pie, This delicious, Esme thank you. She had

her apron on, I do it for the smiles Jake. I laughed, Hey ness you

want some? She came into the room, Of course I would. We ate a

few slices of pie and rejoined the others in the living room.

At about 6:00 the pack joined us pumping the crowd up. The pack went

outside to smoke. I dont smoke but I needed some time with my

brothers. How was patrolling today? Seth asked me. Oh it sucked. 7

hours is too much for me. Jarod lit a cigarette, Dont complain you get

a 2 week break. I laughed, Yes I do, and you dont. Jerrod hit my

shoulder playfully. Ill be inside, I told them. I walked into the living

room finding Nessie watching TV. Edward was looking out the window

so I walked up to him. I didnt speak just thought, mind if I take Nessie

to the beach? He put his hands in his pockets. And do what, he said. Ithought again, I want to, she wants to. I dont know how long I can last.

Cant we just do it already?In a split second I found myself being

thrown over his shoulder. I landed hard on the wood floors when

everyone crowded us. He was about to pick me up again but he

stopped and punched me twice. Edward leaned down to me, I warned

you. Nessie helped me sit up while Bella practically yelled at Edward.

For once I wasnt shaking too much toward him. Dammit, Edward ifyou dont watch your temper, they wont be the only one youre

dealing with. He tried to protest, If you heard what- Bella cut him

off, I dont want to hear it. She stormed off leaving him helpless. I

rubbed my jaw feeling my healing kicking in, You couldve just said no

again. I was just asking. I dont appreciate you messing up my head. He

lightly kicked my side and walked outside to find Bella. I gathered my

head and waited a few minutes to heal the bruises.

Good news

I sat outside on the chair when Nessie came out. She sat next to me,

How you doing? I put my arm around her staring at the woods, I'm

alright. Hows Edward? She sighed, Well, mom and him are fighting

now. He is still pissed. What did you say to him? I sighed also and

continued looking out at the woods, I asked him about us. Like I said

all he had to say was no. She gasped, You asked him about that? I

looked at her now, Yeah, stupid idea right? Edward and Bella walked

out the door. Edward, solemn, said, Can we take a walk, ness? She

nodded and followed him off the deck to the woods. Bella stayed with

me on the deck. Whats with him? I asked her. Okay look this is

probably going to be the weirdest conversation for both of us, I

nodded questionably. He came to a solution. You two can do it, butonly once and on one condition. I got a smile, Whats the condition?

Bella leaned in and whispered, You need to marry her. I was

flabbergasted, He said that? Bella nodded. When can I do this? I

asked her. She sat in her chair, Anytime but you need to make it very

formal okay, I know your capable of that. I nodded, How did you get

him to do that? She smiled, It wasnt hard, just threatened him. I

laughed, That got him. Bella continued to talk, Hes telling her thathe said no. Hes telling her we said to wait until She mumbled

something I couldnt hear. I provoked her, Whats that I didnt hear?

she whispered under her breath, Dammit Jake you know exactly what I

said. She got up and stormed into the house as the two came back. I

hid my smile as best I could. I offered my hand for Edward but he

walked past as waved it off. So what did he say? I asked her, curious.

Well basically he said we have to wait until were married. I huffed,

They have to make it so difficult. She agreed also. I took her hand and

stood, Shall we go inside? she nodded and followed me.

The next few days I was hysterical. I kept the secret for as long as I

could. Not only was I going to be married, Id also be an active married

guy. I asked Nessie on a date, thee date. She said yes and I started to

wonder what we were going to do. I would take her to a fancy dinner,hand her the ring, and get down on one knee. Then we would return

home to a deserted house and have fun.I booked reservations and

talked with Bella. She said it was a good idea and talked it over lightly

with Edward. He agreed and it was set.

Standing at the door in my suit, I was extremely nervous. I fixed the

flowers a million times. I could see Bella staring wondering why I

wouldnt knock. I got a text from Bella, just come in. It will be fine. I

laughed out loud and texted her back, I know, just got to calm down.Itook a few deep breaths and finally knocked. Edward opened the door

immediately. Jacob, pleasure to see you, he said. He ushered me in

kindly. Nessie will be down in a few minutes, Bella said. She

whispered in my ear, Can I see it? I pulled it out of my pocket a bit so

they could see it. It was my mothers, I told them. I put it back in my

pocket before Nessie came down. Shes coming, Alice said in the

distance. Edward took my hand and pulled me to his chest, Please begentle. I smiled like nothing happened, Yes, sir. He released me

when he saw Nessie on the stairs. I turned to see the most beautiful

thing Ive seen. My mouth fell open in instinct. Edward reached over

and pushed up my jaw harshly. Sorry, I whispered. She finally reached

me and I kissed her cheek, You look beautiful. She pulled back, You

look handsome also. I regulated my breathing as best I could as I gave

her the flowers. These are for you, I said. Her face lit up like the sun,

my sun. Thank you Jake, these are perfect, she said. We left arm in

arm to the charger. I opened the door for her and she said, Thank you

Jake. I closed her door and waved to Edward watching out the

window. I got into the driver seat, Ready for our night? she smiled

deeply, I cant wait. We started off to the restaurant with delight. I

opened the door for her again and we walked to the door. It was quite

busy so we went to the front of the line, We have a reservation. Jacob

Black. He nodded and said, Right this way, sir. He led us to a table in

the corner. We ordered our food and awaited it. This is beautiful

Jake, she said across from me. I shook my head, No, you are much

more beautiful. She was flattered, O cmon Jake weve been over

this. I smiled sweetly, Yes, we have and you are the most amazing

looking woman in this world. She smiled and took my hand, I love

you. I smiled also, I love you more. We ate our alfrado and wine. Itwas delicious. When we were both done I excused myself, Will you

excuse me for a moment, I need to talk to the waiter. She nodded and

said, Come back soon. I walked up to the podium, Excuse me sir, I

need a special request. He looked up from his books, How may I help

you? I talked a little lower, I am proposing to my girlfriend and I was

wondering if you could have someone bring over the ring in a bell

container. Then I will come to her other side and get down on oneknee. The man smiled, We can do that, when would you like it? I

nodded, Right now if thats possible. The man smiled greater, Young

love. Ill get someone now. I put the ring onto the platter. I watched

the man bring it to her and serve her. She picked it up and opened it. I

walked up and waited till she looked at me. I kneeled in front of her.

She gasped at me. Renesmee Ive loved you since the day I saw you.

You bring the joy and happiness into my complicated life. All I dream

about when I'm away is you, not food, not your parents you. You are

the sun in my life. Before I met you it was dark, but you brighten my

day. Could do me the most amazing thing that will make my life

greater? Will you marry me? There were many oohs and gasps from

the spectators. She shook her head as many tears came down her face,

Yes, yes, yes I will.I stood and hugged her tightly. I kissed her very

deeply. Thank you, I said when she pulled away. Her smile was as

bright as mine but not bigger. I grabbed the ring from her and slipped it

on her finger, It was my mothers, That made her cry even more. I

love you, she sobbed out. I love you too. I wiped away her tears,

Darling youre going to make me cry. She laughed, It was beautiful.

Did my dad really approve? I nodded, Actually it was his idea. The

greatest idea hes had. We both laughed and had fun.

Change of plans

I drove her home to an empty house. She was gaping at the ring the

whole way home, Do you like the ring? She nodded and looked at me,

I love it. I grabbed her hand, So how does it feel to become Mrs.

Renesmee Black? She sighed, It feels amazing. I cant wait for the

wedding. We arrived at the house seeing cars in the driveway. I

thought we agreed they were going to be gone. We entered the house

to the entire family. The pack was there with my dad also.

Congratulations, they screamed as we opened the door. I

immediately gave Bella a hug, Youre not supposed to be here. She

said back, Edward changed his mind, I'm sorry. I sighed, Ill deal. We

discontinued our hug and greeted everyone. I hugged all my brothers

and hugged my dad. Dad, thank you for letting me use the ring. She

loves it, I told him. He smiled, Thats all I wanted is for you to be

happy. I moved on to Edward. I stuck my hand out to him but he didnt

shake it. Bella came from behind him and forced him to shake it.

Edward, thank you. I really appreciate how youve let me in. I will

protect and love your daughter more than myself. I'm really honored to

take this position as husband. I just hope we can move on with our

differences. Bella warned me, Jake. I insisted, No, I want these

hardships to end. I dont want to have to ask for permission every time I

want to take her out. I understand shes young but you need to let her

grow up and live her life. I thought that went well. You wont touch

my daughter. You dont deserve her. And you will not tell me how to

raise my daughter. He has to be so harsh. I turned around back toward

him, What did you say? Edward stepped forward, I said you dont

deserve her. Thats why I am always angry at you. You will always ask

for permission you know why? I glared. Why? I said through myteeth, Because shes my little girl, she will always be my little girl.

Bella from behind him scolded him, Edward, stop it. He walked

toward me threatening me again. Nessie stepped in front of me, he

stopped in his tracks, Dad, Ill always be your little girl. Why wont you

let me grow up? I love Jake, give me one reason why we cant get

married. He looked to me, Because you dont deserve her. Nessie

stood in front shielding me, How? Lets say he doesnt deserve me,what do I deserve? I deserve a man who cares for me, loves me and

protects me to the best of his ability. He sighed, Youre not getting

it. She had tears because of anger, No you dont get it. I love Jake. He

loves me. Were getting married; I dont care what you say. She ran off

crying to Bella. Edward, just let us get married, I said calmly. No, he

simply said. I screamed in his face, Dam you, get off your high horse

and be a respectful adult. Because right now your acting like a child. A

puny little child who likes to fight over toys. That got him. He stepped

forward and hit me. He punched me in my face, and I stood. But instead

of seeing Edward, Nessie and Bella were between us; the two most

delicate people. I shook hard and saw red. The moment I saw Nessie

ran out the door and I phased. I dont want to hurt her. I ran into the

woods barely removing my pants. I ran and ran and kept running until I

saw the beach, I ran 5 miles in 20 minutes. I ran back to the house

slower than earlier.

I finally arrived back at the house seeing Nessie outside on the steps. I

growled so she could hear me. She gave me my pants so I could change.

I changed and phased back to myself. I walked slowly to her across the

lawn. She collapsed in my arms as I reached her. I didnt know what to

say. Are you okay? she nodded her eyes still wet. I'm sorry I ran off, I

needed to clear my mind. She nodded again against my bare chest.What are we going to do about this? I asked her. I dont know, she

tried to make out. Cmon, I said leading her to the house. We walked

in still holding each other. Everyone stared at us but the only one who

came up to us was Sam. Hey are you okay Jake? I nodded, Were

fine. I didnt see Edward at all the rest of the night. Nessie led me to

her bedroom. So much for my well planned night, I told her plopping

on her chair. What else did you have planned? she asked. Well I wasgoing to take you home to an empty house, and fool around but

Edward changed his mind I guess, I said. Wait you planned this all

with him? she said. It was his idea; I just went along with it. There

was a knock at the door. In came Bella sorrow like us, Hey, someone

wants to talk to you. Edward stepped into the room, Just hear me out

please. I sighed and nodded. Bella waited outside while we talked. It

was quiet and no one moved. Jake I want to apologize for earlier. I had

no right changing my mind like that. I think you should get married but I

want you to wait. You need time to grow toward each other and be of

age. But like I promised Jake, you can have her in every other human

way. He set a card on the table.Truthfully I dont know why I

overreacted about this; its really not a big deal. Jake its not you at all I

just use that as an excuse. In all actuality its me being a jerk, he

confessed. I sighed not knowing what to say. Nessie moved to him as

Bella came back in, Dad, I will always be your girl. You dont have to

say goodbye, you never will. Think of it this way, you need to share a

piece of me to Jake. He started to sob so I got up, and joined them.

I'm not trying to take her away. I just want a piece, a piece of her

love, I said patting his shoulder. I walked around him to the card. It

said YH. YH as in the Yellow Hotel? I asked him. He nodded, Have a

good night. I picked up the card, You dont have to do this. I'm notgoing to do this if I know it hurts you. He showed his face, So dont

know. I sighed, You know me better than that. Im disappointed you

thought that. I dropped the card back on the table and walked out.

I went down stairs finding that everyone left, so much for a celebration

party. I was still a little angry when I found everyone gathered outside.

Hey everything alright? Seth asked me. Yeah everythings fine, I

said. Nessie came up to me. Hes insisting we use this card, she said in

my ear. I sighed, Then I guess we have to use it. He better not change

his mind now. I turned to Edward, I appreciate this, I really do. But if

youre doing this because you feel bad- he raised his hands. Jake take

it please, its my wedding gift. I nodded and took Nessie's hand. Well

see you tomorrow. Edward caught my shoulder, Jacob, gentle.

Always, I whispered. We drove to the hotel and checked in. Our suitewas big and very fancy. I looked at ness, Can I be honest with you?

she shook her head, I wish you would. I sighed, I dont think this is

the best time for us. I want it to be stress free, just love. She nodded,

I understand. I didnt want to hurt your feelings if I said something.

She sat on my lap, Babe, you wouldnt hurt my feelings. We want the

night to be perfect and unplanned. She sighed again, So what are we

going to do? I looked around the room, I guess we have to bail andleave this place. I really dont want to but its not right. We sat staring

at the beautiful pictures and fireplace.

The drive home was quiet and solemn. If I cleared my throat I saw her

look over at me. Her face was emotionless just like mine. We pulled

into the driveway in the dark. I put the car in park and said, Were

here. We both sighed and got out of the car. I left my overcoat in the

car but kept my undershirt and loose tie on. We got to the door and

walked in slowly. Edward was on the couch with his head in his hands.Bella was in the chair reading a book. We walked in and stood at the

door. I closed the door behind Nessie as Bella came up to us, So? I

came from behind Nessie and shook my head, Not tonight. Nessie

went to the stairs but stopped when I didnt follow. I walked to Edward;

he was leaned over and handed him the card, You owe me. He

nodded once and extended his hand. What are we shaking on?I

thought to him. Peace and friendship, he said aloud. I smiled a little;Forever? He nodded, Forever. I shook his hand and even hugged

him, You're a good guy Jacob err ah Jake. I laughed and met Nessie at

the stairs. Good night, I said. Edward jumped up, To sleep. I

laughed to myself and looked up, Yes sir. Edward smiled putting his

hands in his pocket. We finally are friends with each other. I never

thought I would see this day, Edward friends with me ha. I climbed in

the bed with Nessie. Dont get used to it, Edward yelled up. I laughed,

Night Eddie.

Jog of joy

The next morning I woke to the smell of breakfast. I sat up drowsily

realizing I was in Nessie's room. She was asleep on my chest. He

beautiful cheek just under my nipple. I sighed deeply watching her

thoughts. She was thinking about last night and everything that

happened. I watched through her eyes of what happened through the

fight. I sighed deeply and pulled her off me. I got up and found a pair of

my clothes on the edge of the bed. I chuckled quietly, probably Edward.

Youre welcome, he thought to me. I chuckled again and thought,

likewise, I do a lot for you. I got dressed without waking ness and went

down stairs. The family was gathered in the kitchen talking. Jake is

going to love this, I heard Emmett say as I got the 1st

floor. Jake isgoing to love what? I asked stepping into the kitchen. Emmett and

jasper were standing over the stove with aprons on. There was a slight

smell of burnt food in the air, What are you guys doing? Emmett

turned toward me with a plate of cookies, Baking. Would you like

some cookies? I took one look and said, My taste buds actually prefer

golden cookies not whatever color that is. Edward came in laughing,

Did you burn down the house yet? I laughed also, Why such interestin baking? Jasper took off his gloves, We were going to enter a baking

contest. I took a sip of my coffee and spit it out, You too in a baking

contest? They both nodded seriously, Yep. Its up for a million

dollars. I stopped laughing for a second and looked at Edward, You

might as well throw away the million dollars. Edward and I started

laughing, I'm sorry you got no chance. Edward tossed me a bottle of

water, You up for a run? I nodded, Sure just give me a minute. I

went to my house and found a pair of sweats and got rid of my shirt. I

quirkily used the bathroom and told my dad where I was going. I

rejoined Edward at the mansion, Where too? I asked him. He had a

determined look on his face. Wal-Mart, he said. Are we talking about

the one in la push? he nodded, Exactly the one. 15 miles. We started

off a human jog. When we got there, So what brought you to jog 15

miles with me? I asked him. Oh no reason I just wanted to talk to you

alone, I was a little curious, Oh, about what? We stopped at the

park, Well, with what happened last night I wanted to make sure we

were on the same page. I cleared my throat, What page is that? I sat

at a picnic table. He sighed, The situation with you too. I looked out at

the playground, I'm sorry, I dont follow. He responded quickly, You

can marry my daughter Jake. I smiled and was flabbergasted, When?

I asked with excitement. Whenever you would like, he said. I shookhis hand, Thank you, so much. What changed your mind? he looked

into my eyes, I thought about you. I was similar to you, protective,

loving and caring. And I thought about what Nessie said to me, what do

I deserve? I thought to myself and said Renesmee Cullen deserves

you. I shook his hand again and hugged him, You are the greatest

father ever. He stopped and got solemn One condition you must

follow. I nodded. He smiled a little, Dont ever call me dad. We bothlaughed, Ready to get back to your wife? I laughed, You cant even

imagine it. We jogged back to the house in the morning light.I couldnt

wait to tell Nessie. She will be ecstatic.

We walked to the porch slowly. I was thinking about how I was going to

tell Nessie. Bring her to the beach maybe I'm not sure. Nessie busted

out of the door practically screaming, Jacob Black. With her robewaving in the wind, she hit my shoulder, You couldve left a note or

something,and Ive been worried sick about you. You too are like spark

plugs you never know when ones going to go out. What were you guys

doing out there anyway? Edward passed us to go into the house. I

walked to the porch sitting in the chair, Well, we were talking. She sat

and crossed her arms around her stomach, O about what? I smiled

and leaned in close to her face, Our wedding plans. She looked palefor a second and then she shrieked. Were getting married? she asked

after she hugged me. I nodded, Yeah baby. She laughed and kissed

me sweetly. After we kissed she ran into the house. I slowly followed

her in leaning against the wall. She ran up to Edward, Thank you

daddy. He smiled and hugged her deeply, Your welcome baby. Jake

like I said, youre the man for the job. I laughed and shook his hand.

Then from my left side Bella came running and ran into my arms, Oh

my god youre getting married. After she calmed and pulled away shesaid, To my daughter but oh well. I shook everyones hand and turned

back to Edward. I gave him a great smile and a hugged hug, Thank you.

You dont know how much this means to me. He pulled away

chuckling, I may not know to your extreme, but I know how it feels.

We finally found our bond. I have no clue to how we did it but we

pulled through.

Wedding plans

The next few weeks were full of fittings, flowers, and parties. Alice was

going crazy with the short notice. We did all this in 2 months. Edward

moved back to her side of the bed. She got up and started getting

chuckled deeply and got dressed also. We walked downstairs seeing

everyone was hunting. We sat in the kitchen and poured our coffee.

Did you tell the guys about fittings? I was relieved, Thank for telling

me. I better do that before it gets loud. She chuckled and I took my

coffee and sat on the front porch. I dialed Seths number as I sat in the

said. No I just got back from a round. Hows the wedding plans

coming? I took a sip of coffee, Well we have our last fittings tonight at

now. I sighed, How you holding up? He was just told to back off by a

smiled, I cant wait. I was just calling to let you know we have our last

fitting tonight at 6 at our house. I'm sorry about the late notice but we

didnt want to bother everyone at the dinner. She seemed cheerful,

Oh its not a problem Jake. Ill tell Sam when he gets up and the kids

too. I smiled to myself, Okay thank you. See you tonight. She hung

up anddialed the last man. Hey Eli, hows it going? He seemed to be

moving around, I'm doing pretty good Jake, whats up? I sighed, I

dont want to bug you, with the kid and all, but were going to do a last

minute fitting tonight at 6. He stopped moving, Oh Ill be there Jake I

wouldnt miss it. I smiled, Thank you Eli, howsSara doing? He

sighed, Shes doing well. Shes very active. I sighed now, I'm sorry, if

you ever need someone to take her, theres like 20 people over here

who love babies. He laughed, I'm sure you do Jake, I'm sure you do.

anything. We just went to get you a present. I smiled as they walked

beautiful new present. Hell love it and you know it. Edward stood,

Jake, come with me.He slung his arm around my shoulder, You know

Jake. We turned to the garage. One of the things I like about you is

your love of cars. He pulled off a dusty cover. There it stood before me

a great piece of history, a sleek orange Camaro. I was freaking out, You

got me this? I asked as I walked around it. Edward chuckled, Wethought it was you. I walked around lightly touching the paint, 1968

Camaro with a 428 cobra jet. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds; I give up where did

you find this? I faced him. He winked, Who said I bought it? I looked

around seeing the crowd looking toward Billy. My father smiled, Do

you like it? I lost my smile for a second, You bought this for me? He

nodded, I knew you would like it. I was amazed; I ran to hug him and

ended up lifting him out of his chair. I put him down still fired up,

How? Where did you find this? he rolled over to Emmett, Emmett

here has been helping me look through the junkyard for a car. We

found this one and had Sam and the guys fix it up for ya. I smiled so

greatly it shouldve stayed there. Thank you so much dad, I looked at

Billy but quickly glanced at Edward. I heard him sigh. I shook Emmetts

hand and got in the car. Edward leaned into the window, Fire it up. I

sighed, I thought youd never ask. He chuckled as I squealed when I

turned the key. It sounded amazing, amazing. Dad, I screamed out

the window, This is my new favorite car. His smile grew greater, It

sounds great son. I smiled back at him.

Later that night Alice had shunned me away from Nessie's bedroom the

whole night. The first to arrive was Seth, Sam, Emily and Dominic, my

god son. Both Nessie and I shook their hands as they came through the

door. Hey Seth, I said and gave him a hug. I hugged Sam and Emilytoo. But when I saw little Dominic I picked him up. He had a Christmas

sweater on, probably Emily. Uncle Jake, he said hugging my neck. I

hadnt seen him in a few weeks, Hey Dom have you been driving

daddy nuts for me? He laughed and nodded, Oh yeah. I rubbed his

soft hair and put him down. I walked over to the crowd and noticed he

stayed by my side. I glanced down at him, Uncle Jake, whos coming?

I bent down, Well, Claire and Eil, the pack and guess who else iscoming? He smiled, I dont know. I whispered in his ear, Sara. I

pulled away and he smiled greatly giggling. He loved her. Not physically,

we think, but he does act like her brother. Sam came over, Is my son

giggling? I murmured a chuckle, He likes Sara. Dont you? I heard

Sam breathe, Dom just smiled and said, No she is like my sister. Sam

let out his breath, You better not like her that way. Dom stuck his

finger in his mouth, Ewe, never. I laughed, Guess you dont have to

After everyone got here Alice took charge. All the guys were pushed

into Carlisle and Esmes room. We put on our full suits in a few minutes.

I was the last one done making sure it fit right. I fiddled with my blue

silky tie. Billy came over and helped me fix it. Looking good Jake, he

gave me thumbs up. I laughed, You are looking great dad. Hechuckled, No really you look amazing. I smiled, Thank you dad. He

chuckled and grabbed my tie, I'm really proud you found someone

who you love. I smiled, You mean someone other than my new car?

He laughed, Yes I do. Nessie is very lucky to have you. I just want you

things. I walked out to Alice in the living room carefully, hoping Nessie

wasnt out there. I stood at the corner of the hallway, Alice, is safe to

my hand over my eyes and backed around the corner. I felt a pair of

hands on my shoulder, Dont open your eyes or we will haveproblems. It was Nessie, great for me. She kissed me and I wanted to

open my eyes so badly. Jake shes not in her dress, Emmett said. I

slowly very slowly opened my eyes. She was close to my face,

Surprise. I laughed and kissed her again. I pulled away, Why did you

do that? she chuckled, I wanted to scare you. I laughed, Mission

accomplished. We all laughed as I showed myself to everyone in the

living room. That looks nice, said Edward. Alice turned me around;

she fixed my hair ten times and put a hat on and off. She finally brought

me back to my original state. Alice, she replied, What? I was

frustrated, You didnt do anything. She looked at me, Your hairs

nicer. I grumbled. Nessie leaned on my chest, Dont be mad. Shes

Everyone came out of their rooms dressed in their suits and gowns.

Nessie, dressed in her reception dress, allowed me only to see that one.

It was a sun dress, shorter than the ceremony but similar. Alice was not

maam. I smiled, Yes maam. I wondered away finding Seth and Eli

and joined them, Do you want to see it? He nodded, I would love

We changed into normal clothes and led Sam, Dom, Edward, Emmet,

Paul and Eli to the garage. So what kind is it? Dom asked as we

walked through the yard. He held my hand as I carried his apple juice. Itold him it was beer because he felt left out. Its a Camaro. Grandpa

Billy got it for me. Edward said, It really is a beauty. I let go of his

you find that? I looked at Edward. We went up to the junkyard and

found some parts. We had the pack put it together and painted it, came

out pretty nice. Billy had us buy It. they were blown away, So hows it

to guys and jingled the keys. I got in it and fired it up. It sounded just

to get some food? He shook his head, Yeah, I cant wait.

We went into the house, straight to the kitchen. I found Nessie and

stayed with her, Claire, Alice and jasper before I ate. Do you want to

get some food? She leaned her back against my chest, I would love

to. We got our food and sat outside on the back porch with Eli, Claire,

Sara, Emily, and Dominic. This is great salad, who made it? Nessie

asked the group. Emily spoke up, I did. Its one of my grandmas

recipes. I took a bite of my hamburger. Carlisle made the hamburgers

right? From my right Dominic said, And dad. He makes good burgers.

I laughed, Not as good as my homemade hamburgers. Dominic sat his

plate on his chair and out his hands on his hips, My dad could beat you

even if he had to make apple sauce. I hid a smile, Dominic eat yourfood. Nessie touched my arm, You just got dissed. Everyone laughed

and I had to laugh to. So Jake, Nessie are you ready for the big day?

we both looked at each other, I cant wait. She kissed me. I pulled

away, Mm pasta. We all laughed even the kids. Sam came from

behind me with a plate full of food. Hey Sam did you know your son

was a joker? He kept eating, I thought he had his dads genes in him.

The day arrived. I was 23 getting married to a 4 year old. Dont let that

followed him to the wedding room. Edward went to get Nessie and

start the ceremony. I stood waiting with the guys, Seth next to me, then

Sam, then Eli. First the bridesmaids walked down. Next up was the

flower girl and ring bearer, Sams children.

I stood with great anticipation awaiting my brides appearance. The

music started and I got the chills. The doors opened and Edward and

Nessie walked out. I felt my face light up as I saw her beautiful eyes

upon me. I smiled greatly as Seth whispered in my ear, Ready to

become whipped? without straying my eyes I said, I already am. I hid

my laughter smile as they reached me. Jacob, Edward handed Nessie

to me. Shes already on the verge of crying, get ready for a water fall.

You look beautiful ness. She smiled even more. The minister startedthe long ceremony. We each read our vows to each other. I practiced it

in the mirror 100 times, 109 to be exact. I looked over at Edward and

that we would become great friends like we are today. But as we got

We walked down the aisle to the limo. The wedding party climbed in

We got to the reception hall and took pictures. Little Dominic looked so

cute in his suit. We sat at the head table eating our salads. So where

out another key, For you and Nessie. Paris, France, 1 week honeymoon

all on me. I took a breath, Now this you really didnt have to do. He

smiled a little, I didnt Bella did. I looked at her and she

waved.Please you need to be careful, Edward continued. I laughed,

Thank you Edward, and I would never endanger her like that. He

smiled and we hugged. I rejoined Nessie, Here is your champagne,sweetheart. She rolled her eyes, Sweetheart, Jake? Youre the

sweetheart. I laughed, Good one, I wouldve never thought of that.

She laughed but got serious again, No you are a sweetheart. I smiled

greatly, I love you so much. She smiled huge and sat in the chair.

We saw the microphone occupied by Edward. We listened closely. My

past with Jacob goes back awhile, 5 years actually. There were a fewscuffs from the crowd. And through those 5 years I really got a

firsthand experience of how Jacob Black really is. Now I remember a

game of basketball. I was on the defense and Jake was on the offense.

He tried with all his heart to get that ball away from me. Although he

didnt get the ball, he moved on. I'm glad he did because this ball was

special. I was relieved that I could have my ball and he could have one I

remarkably made him. Anyone who caught on to what he was sayinglaughed. But with that game I acquired the deepness of Jake. He

poured out his heart to me of how much he loved that ball, and even

though I didnt want him to have that particular ball, he deserves one of

his own. He walked toward the table, What I said last night was the

daughter. I see the passion in their love and the spark they give each

other. When I first found out about how he imprinted in her I was a

want to start off saying how happy I am to see my son find his true

amazed. In just a week they bonded with friendship. They would jokeabout things; talk until there wasnt anything to talk about. It kind of

reminded me of a movie; one where they would be friends forever and

then fall in love with each other. Thats just what it was. Now they are

great friends and full of eternal love. To Jacob and Renesmee Black. He

wheeled to us, How was that for a speech? I chuckled, Just right.

A few others spoke for Nessie but Edwards was the most important. I

decided to save the honeymoon for a week, just to enjoy being

married. We arrived home late that night, tired. I plopped on the couch

with Nessie on my lap, How was your night? She leaned on my chest

as Emmett turned on the TV, It was wonderful. I had a great time. I

Nessie and I chuckled slightly getting comfortable. Edward and Bellacame in and threw their coats on the chair. That was amazing, Bella

said. It really was, Jake Im Edward trailed off as I fell asleep.

I woke to Nessie lying on my lap. I was still on the couch but sprawled

out. I opened my eyes feeling her body against mine. The TV was on

and Edward was sitting on the chair to my left. He tapped my head,

Morning son. I sat up slowly not disturbing ness, Can this get any

weirder? Bella came in with a plate full of pancakes and a cup of

coffee, Im your mother in law. I took a sip of coffee, What else is

new. Edward slapped my head but Bella laughed. I peered down at my

wife curled up against my torso. And thats where she will stay Jacob,

Edward said. I grinned and licked my lips, Yes sir. Edward leaned

forward, If you break that, I break you. He never made eye contact,

just stated it and I got it. He got up and walked smoothly out. Hes justbeing a father, Bella said to me. I know and I respect it. I can follow

his rules because I know him well, I said. Bella laughed, You do know

him well Jake, thats why hes comfortable with you. I smiled as she

left me alone. Nessie woke in my arms a few seconds later. Her deep

I watched some TV awaiting Nessie's arrival. Ring, Ring, my phone

rang.Hey Sam whats up? I answered. Hey Jake, I was thinking I could

come over maybe 1 or so. I nodded, Yah thats fine. How important is

it? Sam huffed, Well, it is a level 4 disturbance. We need to get

control of it right away. I have some maps we can look at and decide

what to do. Pauls going to come with us. I was blown away; we

havent had a level 4 since victoria. Okay Im going to jump in the

shower real quick and Ill see you then. We hung up and I turned to go

upstairs but Nessie was there. Hey babe Sam and Pauls coming over

at 1 so I'm going to get in the shower. We have important business to

discuss, I said. She nodded, kissed me and I went upstairs.

I got out of the shower feeling refreshed and awake. It was 12:30 and

Sam was going to be here in a half hour. I quickly got dressed andcombed my hair. I went downstairs finding Nessie eating breakfast.

Hey, where is everyone? I asked her. She kept eating and shrugged, I

think they went out to run. I smiled and kissed her head, Good, I get

to spend time with my friends without them around. Nessie laughed,

I dont know why your prejudice against them. I smiled, I'm not

prejudice baby, I'm annoyed. She laughed as the bell rang. I opened

the front door finding Sam. Hey Sam come on in, I ushered him in. Heplopped Dominic in my arms, Hey kid. I put Dom down as Sam ran to

the bathroom. Hey uncle Jakey, Dom said. He ran to Nessie and

hugged her, Aunt ness. I saw her cute smile and laughed. He already

named me? She whispered in my ear, He does that. I turned my

shoes. I helped him grab a few boxes and pile them in my office. Hey

you have any rules for this meeting? Sam nodded, Just one, dont

come in; If you need us text us.

She nodded and we head to my office. I closed the door behind me and

sat at my desk, Whats first? my colleagues took a seat in front of me

grabbing an unmarked box. Lets start at the beginning, Sam said. He

pulled out a manila file, Last month, Jared Knolling went missing. He

opened up the file and showed me a picture, He was last seen at la

push, up by Georges dads. It was about midnight. He had just left the

senior prom, drunk. Witnesses say they kept hearing a loud growling

and banging from the coast. Paul picked up as I looked through the

file, His body was found 2 weeks ago up in Wentworth Lake. I found a

photo of his body; it was cut up and scarred. He was pale and his facewas afraid. Is this a vampire? I asked low. Sam nodded gently, We

think so. There was another killing spree just past Portland. He pulled

out another file and read it. Paul pulled out a map, Portlands hereand

the body was found off of Camp Wilkerson. Three of them have the

same markings as Knolling but 2 of them are missing. This vampire is

not being friendly. Sam picked up again, Seth, Jared and quill are out

now patrolling the area. Were trying to find him as best we can. Theyshould report back soon, he said checking his watch. What time did

you tell them? I asked. I told them 4pm. Then us three are going out

tonight at 5-1, he said. I nodded. Okay, lets go find Carlisle; dont say

Jared, Seth, and Quill walking in. Did you find anything on your shift? I

asked. They shook their heads but Jared pulled out a paper. I did some

research on the area and places to hide. There are many places to hidealong the coast but if this thing was smart they would go to the least

common place, Jersey Shore Cave. Its very hard to get to; I think its

even on a cliff. But close to the area. I took the papers and shook his

hand, Thank you Jared. Call Leah and tell her to go out and finish your

shift. You can go with us three tonight, I said in my alpha voice. The

three left and the rest of us followed. We swarmed the living room

Paul and Sam are going out tonight with Jared to search a possible

hideout. I'm going to stay on normal patrol, I told her hugging her. She

thing about the pack set up is that we cant always go everywhere.

With the borders being arranged no one currently has control of that

while. I have to run to the store to grab some snacks. I turned to leave

favorite homemade pizza. I smiled and threw my hands up, Yes, I love

your pizza. He smiled and I went back outside. My dad was talking to

Dominic, Hey dad, I told you I was going to pick you up. He sighed as I

walked toward him, Jake Charlie gave me a ride. Hes not here but I

told him you would give me a ride back, alright? I nodded, Alright. Are

We ate the pizza, all of it and finally at 730 we settled down for the fire.

Everyone gathered around. Hey dad do you think you can crash here, I

was thinking about opening a few beers, I asked him just as everyone

sat down. He nodded, Yeah thats fine, I was going to drink too. I

nodded and turned to Nessie, Hey do you mind if I have a few beers?

grabbed one for her, I got an extra box just for you. She smiled as I

sat down on log next to her.

Our large family was gathered around listening close to my dad speak,

I started packing later that night for our trip in the morning. Nessie was

Tuesday off and then Wednesday you are going sightseeing. Its all in

about money? I took her hand, Only when it comes to gifts. She

smiled, I dont know about you but I would like to take a long journey

into my thoughts. She plopped on the bed pulling me with her, Good

I woke up earlier than her and quickly jumped on the computer. I didnt

off and trudged back into the bedroom. Ness was awake and staring
