JAGUAR NEWS Administrators’ Message
We are coming down to the last week of school for the 2016-2017 school year. It is a busy time for all of us. I
know there are many events and activities planned for the students. Please look at the calendar, ask your teach-
er, or call the office if you have any questions.
We are happy to announce that Murrieta Elementary School has received the California Honor Roll for being one
of the top schools in the state at having high achievement and closing the achievement gap. Our parents, staff,
and students have been dedicated to trying their best and making amazing growth this year. Way to go Jaguars!
This summer we will have a few construction projects going on. Many of our rooftops will be repaired and new air
conditioning units will be installed. We will have a great team cleaning and preparing the classrooms for the fall.
We want to wish the best of luck to the students attending our Extended Learning Opportunity this summer at
E. Hale Curran Elementary School. We are also excited about having our second annual English Language Acade-
my at our school the first two weeks in August. This academy will help our students improve their listening and
speaking skills of English as well as learning new vocabulary and fine-tuning their writing skills.
Report Cards will be coming home on the last day of the school. Along with the report card, you will also be re-
ceiving other important information about the 2017-2018. Please be sure to review this information as well.
We hope you and your family have a safe, exciting, summer break! We are excited about the upcoming year and
look forward to starting our 59th year of STALKING SUCCESS at Murrieta Elementary School!
Sincerely,
Marcie Kea and Rob Lurkins
