Presents

Peter Pan & Wendy Artistic & Production Staff Director: Dominick Chicotel Stage Managers: Meredith Maiorana & Alicia Nimrick Production Assistant: Acadia Kear

Production Manager: Billy Conklin Costume Designer: Lisa Wilson

Theater Department Coordinator: Christine A. Madden, (440) 337 - 1401, [email protected] Office Hours: Mon. 9 am - 1:30 pm, Tues. 9 am - 4:30 pm, Thurs. 9 am - 4:30 pm & Fri. 9 am - 6 pm *Times when Christine is most available to talk or meet. About the Show: Rediscover the loopy fun and the darker corners of J.M. Barrie's original novel with this faithful, fast-moving, and easy-to-stage adaptation. When the carefree and careless Peter Pan flies into the nursery of the Darling home, Wendy follows her instincts for maternity and adventure, bringing her little brothers along to the magical Neverland to take care of the motherless Lost Boys. Soon the Darling children are swept into Peter's deadly battle with Captain Hook and his mostly-fearsome pirate crew. With so much excitement, why ever go home again...? *Content furnished by Playscripts.com Attendance: The casting of this show has been based, in part, on the availability each student wrote on their audition form. SCA expects that students will remain available for rehearsal based on the conflict information listed on their cast contract and audition form. In the case of illness, SCA requires a call in advance to alert directors in the event that a student will be late, leaving early or absent from rehearsal. A call in the case of emergency is respectfully requested if at all possible. ABSOLUTELY NO ABSENCES FROM TECH REHEARSALS, DRESS REHEARSALS OR PERFORMANCES ARE PERMITTED. An absence, late arrival or early departure from rehearsal not previously disclosed on this form or the student’s audition form, a “no call, no show” or an absence during the mandatory technical and/or dress rehearsals may result in your removal from parts of or the entirety of this production (with the exception of conflicts arising from serious illness and/or emergency). *Please call the SCA front desk (440) 337-1400 to report an immediate conflict due to illness or emergency to the directors. Accountability: Students are also expected to come to rehearsal prepared and with the best possible attitude. If a student is absent for any part of rehearsal, it is their responsibility to contact another cast member or the stage manager and get caught up on anything missed. Please note that, at the directors’ discretion, a student may be removed from sections of the show if missed material has not been made up. Attitude: SCA views the Spotlight Youth Theater Program as a place where students can grow and mature as excellent young performers. In order to maintain this positive environment, SCA expects all of the students participating in this program to be positive and supportive to their fellow cast members. There will be a zero-tolerance policy for any type of negativity, teasing or bullying while at SCA. Students are encouraged to speak with a director, stage manager or Christine Madden in the case of a conflict. Attire and Materials: Each student should come to rehearsal in comfortable attire that they can move well in. Students with long hair should have it tied back for each rehearsal. Please DO NOT allow students to wear open toed shoes, especially flip flops, to rehearsal. Other important materials that should be brought to each rehearsal include: dance shoes, a notebook, the show script and score, a pencil, a water bottle and extra work. A “study hall” area will be set up in the SCA Gallery this season so that students who wish to do homework when not on stage may do it in a place free from interruptions. Scripts: Scripts are your student's to keep. Each student should write their name on the front of their script. Please encourage your student to take good care of their script and only write in it in pencil. Production Schedule: See the attached calendar for details on all rehearsal and performance dates. A breakdown calendar, highlighting what students are called to and working on in each rehearsal will be provided to you every few weeks as rehearsals progress.
