K of C Insurance check-up for 2010

Can you believe it's 2010? I hope that 2009 was a healthy, prosperous yearfor you and your family. It's said that time flies, and the older we get, themore that statement seems true. As we review the past year and prepare towelcome a new one, we wonder where the time goes.

If you're like most people, you've made some resolutions for 2010. If Imay, I'd like to make two suggestions regarding your resolutions. First, write them down. A resolution is really a goal for the year and, until youcommit a goal to writing, it's nothing more than a wish. Writing aresolution down is the first step towards achieving it. Whether your goal isto lose weight, contribute more time and money to charity, read more orwatch less television, you're more likely to accomplish it if you write itdown.

Second, schedule some time to visit with me, your professional Knights ofColumbus insurance agent. The "insurance check-up" that I'll provide(free of charge, by the way!) will quickly identify any gaps in yourfamily's life insurance program. And you'll want to fill those gaps now,not later. Because unlike many other products, you need more than moneyto obtain life insurance. You also need good health, and no one will ring abell warning you when your health is about to change.

Knights of Columbus life insurance offers something precious few otherfinancial products can - guarantees. As long as you pay your premiums, the policy proceeds will be there for your beneficiaries should somethinghappen to you. We call that peace of mind, and that's (as they say in thecredit card commercials) priceless.

Call me -let's talk.

Fourth Degree News ....

Happy New Year to all.

Another year has passed, and despite all of the problems many have faced, we are hereagain preparing to begin anew. As always, this is a time to step back, reflect, and pledgeto really follow through on those resolutions we all make.

The first event we need to be aware of is the Annual K of C Priest Appreciation Dinnerfor the Diocese of Phoenix. This year's dinner is being held at SS. Simon and JudeCathedral on January 29. Cocktails begin at 6:00 pm (no host) with dinner (catered bySharko's) following at 7:00 pm. Reservations are required whether buying tickets inadvance ($35.00) or at the door ($45.00). RSVP is required by January 15 to:

Knights of Columbus14175 W Indian School RdSte B4-626Goodyear, AZ 85395-8369

This being the "Year for Priests," we are hoping to make this the biggest dinner yet. Each Knight is encouraged to attend and/or sponsor a priest for the dinner. The dinner isfor Priests and Knights only.

January is the month we prepare and submit our annual report to Supreme for ourFraternal Activity. All attendees at the November meeting received a blank copy of thereporting form to be completed and returned. We will also be enclosing the same formwith your annual dues renewal. Please take the time to complete the forms and returnthem at the January meeting or with your dues renewal.

We will begin our Wheelchair for Vets campaign with a St. Patrick's Day dinner, dance, and entertainment at the K ofC Hall on Saturday, March 13,2010. Our dinnercommittee is planning a traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner and will need help from allSir Knights and brother Knights with ticket sales, decorating, cooking, clean-up, etc.Tickets will be going on sale the latter part of January at a cost of $20.00 for the dinner-all proceeds going to the Wheelchair Fund. Drinks will be available for purchase duringhappy hour and dinner.

Finally, we are now recruiting for new Fourth Degree candidates to attend the Juneexemplification in Phoenix. There is an exemplification in Tucson on January 16;however, we are not sending any candidates, and we will need to recruit heavily forJune.
