Men of Emeritus gathered for agentlemen’s luncheon at the beginning ofDecember. They shared good food,pleasant conversation and drinks of theirchoice. We had a great turnout that hadthem looking forward to next month. Themenu for January will be hamburgers andFrench fries.

Mary prefers tobe called Margie.She is a trueFloridian, bornand raised inJacksonville,Florida. She hasalso lived in
Satellite Beach, Merritt Island,Englewood and New Smyrna.Margie was married to ChesterDubberly for 17 years. She isnow married to Robert (Bob) B.They have been married since1957. Margie has two sons,Ronald Dubberly, who has awife named Bonnie, and GaryDubberly, who has a wifenamed Leslie. Margie has twograndchildren, Ken and Pam.Margie graduated from AndrewJackson High school. She retiredafter 30 years from KingEdwards Cigar Factory. Margie’shobbies included boating,deep-sea fishing, throwing a castnet, dancing to ’40s, ’50s and’60s music and garage sales. Shealso enjoyed working out at thegym and walking. Margietraveled to Europe, Madeira,England, Scotland, Canada,Hawaii and the Western States.We welcome Margie and Bob totheir new home here atEmeritus.

Debra has beena residentassistant withEmeritus sinceMarch 2011. Shehas exemplifiedand demonstratedEmeritus family
values. Her outstanding work inresident care has gone aboveand beyond our standards. Shewas born in Cairo, Georgia, andat age 2, she moved to Floridawith her parents and brothersTim and Rick. She is currentlyliving in Holly Hill. Prior toworking with us, she worked fora title company. Debra alsoobtained her associate degree inscience as a medical assistant in2010 and this past December of2011 she was awarded hercertified nursing certificate.Debra enjoys sewing andmending clothing. Her sewingranges from her children’sclothing to wedding dresses andeven a prom dress. First andforemost, Debra loves spendingtime with her family. Her threegrown children are Alesha (20),Tim (27) and James (28). Hertime is also spent playing withher adorable grandchildren, Alex(8) and Michael (20 months). Itis our great pleasure to haveDebra as a part of our Emeritusfamily. Keep up the great work!
