Course Maintenance Update

Dear Members and Guests,As winter falls upon Sheshan once again, we can expect cold temperatures for the next couple of months. Please keep in mind that if it is cold and there are clear skies, there will likely be a frost and or fog delay in the mornings so if you have any questions please ensure to call the Club in advance to check. This is especially important on weekends as the afternoon flights may also be delayed if we are busy. We will do our best to ensure that everyone has a chance to play 18 holes but we cannot guarantee it.

Along with possible morning delays, cold weather will cause the paspalum summer grass to fall dormant. Dormant grass will turn brown for the winter until temperatures begin to warm up. The winter rye grass will stay green throughout the winter but the grass will likely be a mix of both

球场维护动态亲爱的会员和嘉宾，冬季的阳光抵不住寒意的侵袭，霜、雾的笼罩依旧持续进行。球场开球时间也将受此影响，尤其周末时分，即便是下午场也可能会有所延迟。我们将尽可能保证各位来宾都能体验到无穷的高球乐趣。如有疑问，请提前来电咨询佘山高尔夫俱乐部。寒冷的冬季，影响的不仅是球场开球时间，场地上的夏季雀稗草亦进入冬眠披上浅棕大衣。直至大地回春，雀稗草才会再次裹上新绿。绿色的冬季黑麦草将是整个冬季的主打星，再由雀稗草的配合，两者合成球场主旋律。尽管球场的色彩不敌春秋艳抹，但是球场状况一定是极好的。从世锦赛汇丰冠军赛开始，果岭保持着最佳状态。果岭速度仍旧偏快，但球痕需较长的修复时间。


此外，今年冬天球场还将会有少许的改变哟！首先，1号洞球道旁的沙坑会增长且更近球道，但是这一改变对于从蓝梯发球至 280码左右的会员们不会产生太大影响。其次，18号洞球道旁的沙坑将更近球道。深思熟虑后，我们决定加大 8号洞果岭左后方面积并会设置一个令人意想不到的旗杆位置。其次，有可能在 13号洞球道沙坑左前方的长草区种植一颗大树。这不仅让球道更加美观也会增加将球击入左侧后的难度水准。整个修整工作将持续至一月中旬，对您在打球过程中的影响我们深表歉意。我们期待着球场的又一蜕变，也衷心感谢您对球场改善和修整工作的理解与支持！

The Learning Center has have received the new Titleist 915 series demo woods. In stock, we carry the 915 D2 & D3 in 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree driver lofts. Drivers .Further included in the 915

fairway woods in 15 and 17 degree lofts. Accompanying the drive and fairway heads are the new custom shaft options, which can be

inserted into the heads before hitting.

Here are the two driver product descriptions:

915 D2 Hit more fairways with the maximum distance and forgiveness 915D2. The 460cc pear profile provides confidence and stability. 915D2 delivers higher launch and more dynamic face closure versus D3.

915D3Workable and forgiving, the 915D3 driver delivers distance with trajectory control. The 440cc deep face pear profile provides confidence to manage your trajectory. 915D3 produces a lower flight and less spin versus D2.

Junior Golf NewsOn December 20th Yoko Tai competed in the Junior Golf Classic in Miami, Florida, USA. The event was organized by the Miami First Tee and was held at Trump National Golf Club Miami. Yoko competed in the 10-11 age group playing two nine hole rounds over two days. Yoko played well shooting scores of 38-38 =76 for a 3rd place finish. Everyone at the Sheshan Learning Center would like to wish Yoko a big congratulations Yoko for her


After this summer of competitive golf, all our juniors finished with a lot more experience and have all learnt valuable lessons that will bring them to greater heights in the

future as they develop further as golfers.

高尔夫青年新闻12月 20号，平原蓉子在美国佛罗里达迈阿密参加了由迈阿密第一球梯组织的在迈阿密王牌国家高尔夫俱乐部举办的Doral Publinx青少年精英赛。平原蓉子（10-11岁组）在为期两天的 9洞赛中打出了38-38=76杆的优秀成绩获得第三。佘山教学中心谨代表大家祝贺平原蓉子精彩地完成了此次国际级赛事。

当您经过教学中心，还请停下脚步，进来体验一下新进球杆。您还可以使用现有发球杆和新进 Titleist发球杆，在我们的 Trackman雷达追踪设备上测试自身水平，之后教练会根据您的情况进行测试及分析。Trackman可以帮助您优化发球轨迹，加强对球的控制度，从而打出最大球距。

Rule 23/2: Meaning of “solidly embedded” in definition of “Loose

Impediments”

规则 23/2: “牢固地嵌入”在定义“散置障碍物” 中的含义

Q: The Definition of "Loose Impediments" states that a stone is a loose impediment if it is not "solidly embedded." When is a stone solidly embedded?

问：“散置障碍物”的定义陈述说，如果一块石头没有“牢固地嵌入”地面，它就是散置障碍物。那么什么情况下称之为“牢固嵌入地面”？

A: If a stone is partially embedded and may be picked up with ease, it is a loose impediment. When there is doubt as to whether a stone is be removed.

答：如果一块石头部分嵌入并且可以毫不费劲的拾起，这是散置障碍物。当不确定这块石头是否嵌入地面，不应该把它移走。

The Christmas Four Clubs Challenge was held on Sheshan on the 19th

of December. This is not only an annual tournament affair, but also a means of celebrating an early Christmas amongst the 60 participating member and guests

12月 19日周五，佘山高尔夫俱乐部迎来了圣诞四杆挑战赛。这不仅是本年度最后一场会员月例赛，更是圣诞老公公提前的节日祝福，吸引了近 60位会员和嘉宾参加。

Only four clubs are to be used throughout the duration of the tournament, including putter if you decide to select as one of your equipment. No changing of any clubs is permitted during the round and no sharing of clubs among golfers in the same flight. Otherwise, players will be disqualified from the tournament.

四杆挑战赛顾名思义就是比赛时只能使用 4支球杆，包括推杆（如果选手也想选择的话）。比赛期间不允许更换球杆，也不允许与同组球手共享球杆，否则取消资格处理。
