Happiness loses its taste if it isn’t
shared. Amity International School
has been known for its culture of
spreading smiles. Helping each
other grow is a part of Amity tradi-
tion, and in keeping with this the
students visited Shikshkalaya,
a school for the underprevileged
students which is being run by
‘Umeed NGO’ in Lucknow.During
the Christmas week, the students
had collected a number of items of
daily needs as a part of service to
their society, like books, stationery,
food items, clothes, shoes, blan-
kets etc.

a Bronze Medal and brought lau-
rels to the school in #Be Better
Lucknow Half Marathon
organized on 2 February , 2020
covering 5kms. run. We wish her
all the best for the future.

The incredible beauty of India was amazingly portrayed by the students of Amity International School, VKC, in its Socio- Cultural event, Atul-ya Bharat on 4
th February 2020. The students
depicted the four states of Uttar Pradesh, Guja-rat, Odisha and Karnataka and depicted their learning and growth.
The event started by a special assembly which
displayed the distinct and unique cultures of all
religions and communities present in India .
The students of Nursery and KG performed a
ramp walk and fabulously displayed the dress-
es of the states. After the assembly the parents
moved to the classrooms that were trans-
formed into the states of Uttar Pradesh, Od-
isha, Karnataka, and Gujarat displaying their
culture, monuments and cuisines. It was a vis-
ual delight for the parents. The students confi-
dently apprised the proud parents and illustri-
ous guests about the culture of the different
states. The delicious aroma of traditional dish-
es of the states was mouthwatering and irre-
sistible. The various aspects like, famous per-
sonalities, dances, art and architecture were
superbly depicted. The tourist guides also ap-
praised the parents about the states with confi-
dence. In the end, Principal, Ms. Rachna Mish-
ra praised the students for their efforts and said
that it was the responsibility of every Indian to
preserve their language and culture.

Basant Panchami Assembly
Date : January 29 , 2020
As the festival of Basant Panchami announced the arrival of spring, yellow colour
seemed to fold the earth. Amity International school celebrated the festival with
joy and fervor. The students of class III presented an assembly on the occasion
which started with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati. The importance of the
festival was highlighted in the assembly.

Youth Power
Date : January 15, 2020
In order to make the students gender sensitive and create awareness about the
equality of genders, the youth club of the school, conducted activities for students of
classes I– V. The students folded and sewed clothes, cooked meals and also made
badges. The youth club achieved its objective of spreading the message of gender
equality.
Fun Activity at FUN MALL– Cleanliness
Date : February 2, 2020 To spread awareness about the use of eco– friendly
products in daily life and ‘Say No to Plastics’ to keep our surrounding safe for a better
future, the students of Amity International School, VKC, conducted an awareness cam-
paign at Fun Mall, Gomti Nagar on 2nd February 2020 from 11:00am to 8:00pm. The
students conducted games, quizzes,drawing& painting competition and were able
deliver the message effectively .
Drawing Competition - Brainobrain
Date : February 10, 2020
A Drawing competition was organised by Brainobrain on the topic ‘Save Earth’, for
the students of classes I - IV.’ The students made drawings to show the damage
caused to the earth and also ways to solve the problem. The posters were displayed
on the school foyer and students talked about it to the visitors.
Shlok Utsav Date : February 12, 2020 Amity International School, conducted Shlok Utsav for classes Nursery- IV on 12
th February 2020. It was a delight to see the students recite shloks with accuracy
and precision of pronunciation and explanation. The shloks were based on good thoughts, morals deeds and correct lifestyle. The little kids bowed as they recited the shloks and payed reverence to God and Guru. Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Ms. Rachna Mishra said that learning Sanskrit should be a part of the curriculum as it not only is a part of our culture but instils in us a deep sense of reverence and mo-rality and strength of mind.
Grand Parents Day Date : February 15, 2020
As a mark of respect for this sagacious generation, the students of Nursery, Kinder-garten and Class I celebrated the Grandparents Day. The day began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song. Some eyes glittered, some shed and all overflowed with love. The skins didn’t seem smooth, but the smile lines reflected the beauty that overloaded the heart. The Principal Ms. Rachna Mishra delivered the Welcome address and shared her thoughts on the special place the gray-haired generation occupies in our lives.

Lohari & Makar Sankranti Assembly Date : January 29, 2020 As a step toward edifying the students about the importance of Makar Sankranti and Lohri festivals, the students of classes Nursery to IV presented a special assembly on Monday 13th January. The comperes beautifully explained the importance of the festival, showcas-ing their marvellous oratory skills, and then played a video to explain the relevance of tradi-tions associated with it. The festival is a commissionaire at the cheerful spring’s season’s threshold, bidding adieu to the dull winter.
Citation Ceremony Date : February 01, 2020
The most prestigious and awaited occasion of Amity School, the Citation Ceremony for Class XII, was held on 1st
February, in the school seminar hall. The day began with a Hawan, which is a ritual of the school and is done to seek the
blessings of almighty. The ceremony com-menced with the lighting of the lamp and a prayer song, which is symbolic of learn-ing and knowledge. The Principal Mrs. Rachna Mishra welcomed the parents and blessed the children to move ahead in the path of life, with grit and dedica-tion. The students took blessings of the Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, who addressed the students and the par-ents and showered her blessings for the bright future of the students. She moti-vated the students to follow the motto of BHAAG, and live a fearless life, following their dreams. The ceremony ended with
the school song which was presented by the students of Class XII, who could not help getting teary eyed, as they sung it for the last time and began for a new journey.
Clay Pot Colouring Activity
Date : January 20, 2020
The students of class VIII took part in a Clay Pot – Painting activity and decorated
them with acrylic colours. They learnt the use of paints , use of brushes and synthesis
of colours. It was also an excellent activity for enhancing motor skills of students.
Republic Day Assembly
Date : January 24, 2020
On the occasion of 71st Republic Day the students of class VIII presented a special as-
sembly to celebrate the National festival. The student performed a group song, dance,
and gave a patriotic speech to remind all of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and
soldiers. They also took a pledge to work for the nation.
Pariksha Pe Charcha– Prime Minister of India
Date : January 20, 2019
The students of Amity International School, participated in Prime Minister Modi's program
for children,'Pariksha Pe Charcha.' The Prime Minister encouraged the students to learn
new things and spend time on extra - curricular activities. He also urged them to spend a
technology-free -hour every day , have faith in themselves and focus on what they have
prepared. The students were highly motivated by the program.
