• Studies in the region have been active for over 20 years. The rich database and large body of products from these studies have been used to effectively:– Provide a technical foundation for the SIPs;
– Improve our understanding of the nature & cause of Central California ozone and PM air pollution; and
– Improve the state-of-the-science.
• The final round of fundraising is completed. Thanks to all the stakeholders who have contributed to the success of CCOS and CRPAQS over many years!– Generous financial support from Federal-, State- and Local Government as well as
Private Industry
– Fundraising Teams
– Technical and Policy Committee representatives
• To leverage from the previous work and complete the studies with a final round of support for the upcoming SIPs, today we’re presenting a proposed list of final projects for PC consideration.

• ARB and SJV district staff worked together on the final list of high priority projects, which focus on information needed to develop SIPs for anticipated new ozone & PM2.5 standards
• Time is of the essence:
– SIP deliverables needed in 2012
– Federal Funds Expire June 30, 2012
– All contracts to be initiated by June 1, 2011
