Deep gratitude to all of you who continue to think of so many creative and kind ways to assist others in need. We want to express particular thanks to all those who help to feed the hungry. In the year 2020 we served 29,407 hot lunches to individuals and families in our community. That was an in-crease of 12,000 hot meals over 2019. In addition, we added a hot breakfast this past year which is served Monday through Friday since the start of the pandemic. It is not just the numbers of people served of course, but the quality and goodness of the meals prepared with love or purchased from a local restaurant at considerable cost. When guests come to our door they receive a full hot meal (yesterday: meatloaf, potatoes, and green beans or Shepherd’s pie) and fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, roll with butter, dessert, snacks and a bottle of water or juice. Just as importantly, they receive a welcoming smile and gracious service from our Outreach Workers. Meals being only a part of the services provided each day along with clothes, diapers, formula, toiletries, and other basic needs. This is a beautiful witness to the Catholic understanding of our responsibility to our neighbors in need. May God continue to bless you with His love and His grace!
I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you… 1 Corinthians 11:23 These words from St. Paul to the Corinthians remind
us that we received, as a free gift, from the Lord Jesus his Sacred Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity when he laid down his life for each one of us. In many ways, catechists lay down their lives as they serve in this ministry to the church. At Saint Agnes Parish and in many parishes around the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, those who have normally served in the ministry of Catechist have not been able to do so, or have drastically changed the way they minister to families this year. Your love of faith and of sharing the faith to others does not go unno-ticed and it is very much missed this year. I would like to invite all catechists who served our parish in recent years and/or who would like to serve our parish in the coming years, to join us for a Retreat just for you! Please join us on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 from 8:00AM until 12:00PM. Registration can be found on the PREP page of the Saint Agnes Parish website. More details will follow.
Saint Agnes is seeking volunteers to operate the Live Stream computer program VMix during the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass from the Sacristy. Please contact Charles Maruzzella [email protected] if you are interested in helping out with this important ministry.

THE FLAME OF LOVE OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY prayer group meets on Wednesday in St. Agnes’ Chapel at 11:00 am. ALL INVITED!
In a message to Elizabeth Kindlemann, the Blessed Mother said “ With this Flame full of graces that I give you from my heart, ignite all the hearts in the entire country. Let this Flame go from heart to heart. This is the miracle becoming the blaze whose dazzling light will blind Satan. This is the fire of love of union which I obtained from the heavenly Father through the merits of the wounds of my Divine Son.” On February 2, 2021, the Flame of Love Feast Day (same as Feast of Candlemas and The Presentation of Our Lord) will be cele-brated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Road in Media, PA. The Flame of Love Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm; Speaker, Maureen Lomady, Host of the FOL, Radio Maria Program will talk at 6:45 pm; and HOLY MASS will be celebrated at 7:30 pm with celebrant Monsignor Ralph Chieffo. Please come and join in on this spe-cial evening. This will also be Live-Streamed at http://www.stmarymagdalen.net/live-stream For further information, call Cheryl at 610-696-7706. Candles will be blessed!
Please join the Exodus 90 Men for an hour of Eucharistic Adoration each Saturday at 6:45 AM. We begin with the Rosary, followed by a scripture reading and reflection. The hour concludes with 20 minutes of silence.

The Bible is #1! Well, we already knew that, but now the world knows that too. Fr. Mike Schmitz's "Bible in a Year" Podcast is currently the #1 most downloaded show on Apple Podcasts. Each day, Fr. Mike reads the Scripture and gives a short, easily under-standable reflection. If you're looking for a way to know the Bible more, look no further! The episodes are listed as "Day 1, Day 2," etc., so you can start whenever you're ready. You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or on media.ascensionpress.com
