Five Point Activities Handwriting Hero

Write each of your spelling words in your neatest handwriting.

Rainbow Words Write each of your words in pencil. Then trace over your words with a

crayon or colored pencil. After that trace over your words with a different colored crayon or pencil. If you trace carefully, you’ll see a

Bubble Words Write each of your words in bubble

Create valentines using your spelling words! Be creative and include pictures and fun messages with your spelling

words. Create as many valentines as necessary to use all of your spelling words.

Interview Time Write questions for your favorite celebrity with your spelling words, you can include more than one spelling

word in each question, but all of them must be used. For fun, try to answer some of the questions you wrote

pretending to be your favorite celebrity!.

Riddle Me Spelling Write a riddle for each of your spelling words. Don’t forget

your answers. Example:

Spelling Word: chocolate I am a sweet treat. I can be dark, milk, or semi sweet, just to

name a few. What am I? CHOCOLATE!

Sentence Spelling Write each of your spelling words in a sentence that

Five Point Activities Scrambled Up

vowels, fraction of vowels, number of consonants, and fraction of consonants. Then fill out each

column.

Use all your spelling words to make your own dictionary. Include sections for each letter, even if that letter doesn’t have any spelling words, and include a picture and definition for each spelling word. Be neat and creative and make sure

Five Point Activities Buddy Words

Word Sort Find a way to sort your words. You

can sort your words by spelling pattern, number of letters, number

of vowels, etc. You must use all your spelling words.

Telephone Words Write your words in a list. Then look at

a telephone keypad. Translate each letter into the numbers on the keypad. Then write your spelling words in that

Spelling Flowers Draw a picture of a great big flower with large petals. Write each of your spelling words on a petal or a leaf. You can draw extra flowers if you need to.

Reversed Words Write each of your words in ABC

order, backwards!

Big and Tall Words Write each of your words in all capital letters. Then go back and write them

in all lowercase letters. Example:

Missing Vowels Write your words once and then go back and write your words again. This time, put a dash in place of all

Add ‘Em Up Words Write each of your spelling words and then find out the value of each

word. Consonants are worth 10 and vowels are worth 5.
