Dear Parents We trust all members of the Japari family enjoyed Human Rights Day on Wednesday and spent it with family and friends. This Term is certainly speeding along rapidly and the next event to look forward to is the Big Walk, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 07 April. This is always a fun family event, which our children and parents really enjoy!!! We walk around the school grounds and delicious food and drinks will also be available. Parents are urged to diarise this important date and to remember that family and friends are also most welcome!! Children will be given sponsor sheets and parents and supporters are required to sponsor each "Lap" and / or give a donation. Our wonderful PTA will be giving out more information a little nearer the time. Alumni Japari has a rich and very proud history and has been providing a tailored education to children since 1966. If you speak to Japari students, parents, teachers and alumni, you will hear profoundly moving stories of courage, determination and success. This occurred again yesterday, when one of our Alumni, Junior Mokushane, visited Japari. Junior was at Japari from 2009 to 2013 and is currently studying mechanical engineering. Junior was able to meet many of his teachers again and it was fantastic to talk to him and find out what he is doing. Parents are urged, if they have not yet done so, to read some of the testimonies of many of our past pupils and parents found on our webpage, www.japari.co.za. Photos Parents are asked to please send us any photos that you take at our many functions and events. We need your help to ensure that we do not miss anything!!! A perfect example was our recent Monitor/Mentor Induction Assembly. Parents took lots of photos and we need to please have these!!! FROM THE SPORTS DESK

On Thursday 15 March we played the last KFC cricket match of the season – much to the

disappointment of all the boys and coaches. It is always such wonderful afternoon entertainment.

The boys had great fun and played against King David Linksfield. It was a first for two of the boys

and there was lots of laughter. Well done to Menzi Tshabalala for making six runs, Milo Sonqishe –

four runs, Kananelo Makoayane – three, Stuart Whitton - three, Matthew Letsoa - two, Gino

Capkovic, Ethan Govender and Matthew Correia – one each. This was with plenty of

encouragement by coach Patrick to run at every opportunity. Some lovely bowling by Kana who

got a wicket. Thank you so much to Patrick, Gareth and Calvin for the awesome coaching – we

definitely have some potential cricket masters on our hands.
