It’s bull sale season once again and what better way to wish away a cold hard winter, than to see the signs of spring, Bull Sales and baby calves.

Welcome to the Jaymarandy Limousin Spring Sale and Open House. This is our 22nd Bull Sale, with a bit of the old and a bit of the new.

We’ve moved back to the farm and further into the future with on farm and online appraisal of bulls. On behalf of our family, we would like to invite you to our spring bull sale. This Online On-farm bidding is also new to us but is exciting and a venture into the future.

The bulls will be videoed and available for viewing on our web site www.jaymarandy.com and on LiveAuction.tv. Bidding on bulls will all take place at LiveAuctions.tv. All information will be available for viewing on both web sites with fl ip catalogues available upon request. Our avenue of delivery is different but our commitment to the beef industry and our breed is the same as we continue to blend breed improving genetics with hard work and old fashion integrity.

Along side us and their parents, our wonderful grandchildren, Jules and Angus love the cattle and work very hard. Essentially they are our herd persons. Whether it be pasture maintenance, cattle management, show preparedness, they manage it all. A tall task for kids. Yet a task performed with the grace and pride of those beyond their years. Thus the bulls are very quite and manageable. We couldn’t do this without them.

All the bulls have been hand fed a ration of oats and barley with free choice hay. The yearlings are maintained in an large 3 acre pen with the 2 year olds exercising on a 20 acre pasture. They are muscular, useful and prepared. Your bull is waiting and conditioned for his job.

Auction Guidelines

Internet Auction Dates & Times

The auction has been set to run on Friday March 15 at 9am CDT with the internet close out starting with the first lot at 6pm CDT Sunday March 24. We will then proceed to sell each lot using a 45 second bidding clock until all lots are sold. Meaning once the pre-announced time has expired without a bid that bull will be considered sold to the last highest bidder. A sale order will be posted Friday at 6pm. If you do not have computer access phone bids will be accepted at the numbers listed on the terms and conditions page. Be sure to register early to allow time to be added to the system.

How To Participate:1. In order to participate in this auction you will need to Pre register and obtain a buyer number.2. To do this, go to the LiveAuctions web site www.liveauctions.tv and select “Jaymarandy Limousin 22nd Annual Online Sale”3. After logging in the buyer registration form should pop up automatically. If it doesn’t there is a link you can select that says “Register for a Buyer Number”.4. This form requires you to fill out your bank name, city, province, phone num-ber and a contact.5. You may register to bid after bidding has opened but please remember that authorization is not instantaneous.

How The Auction Works:

1. Once you have registered for your user name and buyer number you are ready to bid. You will see a screen that is unique to your user ID.2. There will be a list containing the sale lots. If you click on a lot the video clip or photo will be displayed to the right. The next bid, current price, proxy bid and manual bid buttons will be displayed below the video area. This page will react to your bids by saying “you are in” or “you are out”.3. No one else will be able to see you bid-that data is not accessible to the public.4. Each time you log in, the auction screen will display your personal bidding information. Your auction screen is unique and private displaying your activity to only you.5. Remember that you must have the lot that you are bidding on selected. This is where it tells you if you are in or out. It is here you can also see your proxy bid settings (as applicable).WHAT IS A PROXY BID?

With a proxy bid you can enter your maximum bid and then sit back and watch. When you enter a proxy bid the LiveAuctions system will automatically bid on your behalf up to you max bid. If the lot closes out for less than your’re maxi-mum, that’s all you’ll pay. This means that’s you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. This makes it more convenient and less time consuming. It can also greatly assist those breeders that can’t be near a computer or are busy with duties at the time of the final bidding.

Your maximum bid is kept confidential from other bidders and the seller. Even though you can see this amount on your screen no one else can. The LiveAuctions system compares your bid to those of other registered bidders and the system automatically places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bidding position. The system will bid only up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid and the system will tell you that ‘YOU’RE OUT”. But, if no other bidder has a higher maximum bid you will win the final bid.

The final bidding close out process. After each sale we receive a few calls from breeders who were interested in bidding on a bull but failed to watch the bidding clock and let the bidding time expire. When the bidding starts the bid-ding clock will run for a pre-announced time (usually 30-45 seconds or until there is a bid at which time the clock will start over for an additional count down. Whatever time used will pre-announced).

For example- if the bidding clock gets down to 1 second remaining then a higher bid is submitted, the clock will then restart. This rewind process will continue with each bid received until the allotted time elapses without a bid. Then the lot will be considered closed. So if you are interested in a particular bull be sure to submit your bid while there is still time left on the clock. This is where using the proxy bid can come in handy insuring you do not miss a bid!

Jaymarandy Terms & ConditionsTerms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. All Cheques shall be made payable to Jaymarandy Limousin.

Guarantee:Jaymarandy Limousin guarantees to sell you a bull that is structurally sound, a bull that has passed the semen test by a licensed Veterinarian. Should any Jaymarandy Bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder unable to physically service a cow or heifer, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value, or credit will be made available for another Jaymarandy Bull. We, however, will not provide replacement oradjustment for physical injury or mismanagement. Bear-ing this in mind, we stress the importance of insurance on your bull. Each animal becomes the risk of the pur-chaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

Insurance: Insurance is available through out the sale by “Stockmens Insurance”.
