Gas Processing Operations (Nov 2014 – Feb 2015) Developed and presented a re-commissioning scope for plant equipment in an effort to limit
ongoing maintenance costs and promote plant efficiency. Designed and initiated the implementation of a continuous overflow system to improve the
safety of current operating practices.
Hot Mills Engineering (Nov 2013 – Feb 2014) Developed 2nd Cycle Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) reports for both the Hot Strip Mill and
Plate Mill to meet Federal Government requirements. This involved assessing current plant efficiency against previous plant efficiency, and performing meetings with key personnel to identify opportunities for improvements. Findings were presented to managers and other key personnel.
Energy Services Operations (Jul 2012 – Feb 2013) Safely performed isolations of equipment and supervised work being performed to ensure a safe
atmosphere was maintained. Performed meetings with key personnel to review monthly alarms and alarm philosophy, and
identify nuisance alarms for removal. Performed risk assessments and updated the dangerous goods stores register to ensure

yearly waste reports for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Reviewed atmospheric emissions figures to ensure compliance with regulations imposed by the
EPA.
Ironmaking Engineering (Feb 2012 – Jul 2012) Communicated between departments and companies to manage a small project involving the
Lime Kiln and Gypsum Plant. A pre-feasibility study was completed to identify potential benefits, and actions required for its implementation.
Reviewed the condition of the de-dusting systems in the Sinter Plant, and Ore Preparation Department, and developed reports to assist with the development of a maintenance plan.
Hot Mills Engineering (Jul 2011 – Feb 2012) Reviewed ladder logic for the furnace Coke Ovens Gas control system to identify its function and
update the incomplete Functional Design Specification for the system.
Slabmaking Engineering (Jan 2011 – Jul 2011) Performed condition monitoring and observed key trends to identify potential issues arising. Completed gas safety training and assisted in isolation of gas systems and equipment.
General Responsibilities Performed audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
