The position in question Is for a quality assurance supervisor at the Norfolk, Nebraska plant. I believe my rigorous college education, dedication to quality food manufacturing, and analytical skills would make me a valuable employee at Milk Specialties. The posting is asking for an individual with SQF exposure and implementation. During my time at Mission Foods I encountered several instances requiring corrective action. One instance included investigating the pH of all dough batches. A form was created to measure every batch as a means to ensure all product was meeting the customer’s requirement for this chemical property. Another example included implementing a more rigorous process of formula checks. In the past laboratory technicians would verify the formula of one product; due to current audits we needed to go beyond that. The new policy included testing the formula of every product being produced. This method ensured that all product produced had the correct amount of ingredients and preservatives. Another quality I would like to highlight is analytical skills. While at Mission Foods I found that my deep understanding of documentation and typesetting acquired from my chemistry courses far exceeded the requirements of the company. In fact I found myself recreating procedure forms in order to streamline them for appeal and efficiency. One example included a special scenario where the regional quality manager asked me to measure the sticking of the product as per his requirements. A form was tailored to his specific requests.

Dear Ms. Virgilio:

My name is Jonathan Paul and I recently came across a job posting on Craigslist.

While I have highlighted some of the important qualities I possess I would eagerly welcome an interview where I can expound upon my resume, qualifications and experience. I am willing to negotiate the salary of this position based upon the job duties. Finally, please accept my sincere appreciation for your time. If you would like to contact me you may call me at 402-536-9534 or e-mail: [email protected]
