BIOGRAPHY LT COL JEFFREY A. MUELLER Lt Col Jeffrey A. Mueller is Commander, Colorado Springs Cadet Squadron, Group III, Colorado Wing Civil Air Patrol (CAP). As commander he is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a 100+ member CAP unit. Lt Col Mueller was born in Aurora, CO and joined the Civil Air Patrol in Arizona Wing in the summer of 1991. As a member of Deer Valley Composite Squadron, he held numerous cadet staff positions culminating with his tenure as cadet commander. While a cadet he attended three encampments as a cadet staff member (one as cadet commander), earned his ground team rating, and was selected to attend the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) to Israel. He also located two ELT beacons, resulting in non- distress finds. Upon graduating from college, Lt Col Mueller took command of South Bend Composite Squadron for a short four months to save the unit from deactivation. During that time, he was part of a ground team that located a crashed airplane in NW Indiana, resulting in a distress find. He then moved to California where he assisted Vandenberg Composite Squadron 101 and Central Coast Group IV with cadet programs and emergency services training. Lt Col Mueller then moved to Montana Wing, where he assisted Malmstrom Cadet Squadron with aerospace education, leadership, safety and emergency services. He went on to serve at the Montana Wing SAR Officer for a year and then the Director of Cadet Programs (DCP) for 2.5 years. During his time as DCP he revived the Wing Cadet Advisory Council (CAC) and assisted them in planning various training activities. He also planned and executed two wing cadet competitions, escorting the 2005 winners to the region competition. He also assisted with three encampments in Montana and one in Arizona. Upon moving to Colorado, Lt Col Mueller began assisting with the summer encampment. He served as Emergency Services Officer and Cadet Programs Officer for the Colorado Springs Cadet Squadron. He then accepted the position of Deputy Commander, Group III. He became active in emergency services in Colorado, assisting in a mission person search, and leading the ground team that located a crashed glider. Lt Col Mueller is a Ground Branch Director with over 350 hours of training and 110 hours of actual mission time. BIOGRAPHY

LT COL JEFFREY A. MUELLER Lt Col Jeffrey A. Mueller is Commander, Colorado Springs Cadet Squadron, Group III,
