Jesus power over the demons
Cheri: Ok now we have finished the study, do you have
anyquestions you want to ask or anything youre unsure of?
Giovanna:Actually I do have a question. I have been
wondering lately if, seems Jesus is a son of God and
Satan and the demons were sons of God, does that mean
that Jesus doesnt have any power over the demons?
Cheri:Thats a very good question Giovanna. Can I ask whyyou
asked that? Are you a little scared of the demons?
Giovanna:Yes a little. Theyre just bad.
Cheri: I understand Giovanna, but I see youve thought aboutthis
and maybe to help us with your question lets have a lookat this
book again and I remember in Chapter 10 theres aChapter on Jesus
power over the demons.(TURN TO CHAPTER 10)
Now at the start it talks about how Satan came about and howhe
started to get angels for himself. What were they calledagain?
Giovanna:Satans bad angels are called demons.
Cheri: Very good.
Now they did some bad things when they came to earth, doyou know
what that was?
Giovanna:They left their home in heaven and had kids
with the human women. The kids were mean giants that
hurt people.
Cheri: Very good. So really Jehovah couldnt use them againas
angels could he?
Giovanna :No

Cheri: What that means is Jehovah saw them as rebels and hewould
destroy them. Who do you think he will use?
Giovanna :Jesus
Cheri: Thats right. Jehovah also made sure that the childrenof
those demons that were on earth and all the other badpeople on the
earth were destroyed when he caused the greatflood. Only Noah and
his family survived didnt they, becausethey loved and obeyed
Jehovah and built an ark as Jehovahhad asked them to. Lets have a
look at a scripture to expandon this.Luke 17:26,27. Ill read
that.(READ LUKE)So what will the days of Noah be like according to
thisscripture?
Giovanna : It says like the days of the son of man.
Cheri: Very good. So according to that scripture when the
son
of man comes, Jesus, all the bad people will be destroyed.What
about the Satan and the demons? Lets have a look at
John 14:30.(READ JOHN)So you see here, the ruler of the world,
who is Satan, has nohold over Jesus. How about we read the last
paragraph here tosee what Jesus will do to Satan and his
Demons.
(READ)So as you can see there, Jesus is stronger than they are,
andJesus is going to destroy them. Wont that be good?
Giovanna : YeaCheri: So what did it say we have to do to be
protected fromthe demons in the meantime?
Giovanna: It says we have to keep close to him and his
heavenly father, Jehovah. Thanks for teaching me that
