• We depart the United States on our overnightflight to Prague.

• We arrive in Prague, the Czech capital, alsoknown as “the City of One Thousand Spires”with its Baroque churches, promenades, parksand ancient city walls. We transfer to our hotelto check in and have time to refresh.

• This afternoon, we enjoy a guided group tourof the 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle, aUNESCO World Heritage site founded around880. The Prague castle is considered to be thelargest coherent castle complex in the world.While there, we enter the magnificent St. Vitus’Cathedral.

• We enjoy dinner on own.

• This morning, we enjoy a tour of Jewish interestsites, led by a private guide. We begin with a visitto the Old City to view the stunning Josefov,Prague’s Jewish town with its Old Town Hall, theAlt-Neu, Pinkas, Maisel and SpanishSynagogues, the Jewish cemetery and the StateJewish Museum.

• We break for lunch on own.

• This afternoon, we have time to explore Pragueon our own with a stroll across the CharlesBridge and into the Old Town Square to see theAstronomical Clock.

• This evening, we continue exploring the city andenjoy dinner on own.

• Breakfast and check out of our hotel.• Today, we travel to Vienna via train. Upon arrival,

we transfer to our hotel on own to check in.• Enjoy the afternoon at leisure with time to stroll

through the markets of Vienna or enjoy one of themany art museums.

• Breakfast at our hotel.

• Today, we travel to Terezin, the former "model" Nazi concentration camp. We visit the prison fortress and the Jewish cemetery, see the hidden synagogue and the museum filled with the artwork of former prisoners.

• We stop by the memorial monument and pass through the town itself. We’ll also hear stories and see photos of some of the great rabbis imprisoned here, including Leo Baeck and Regina Jonas, the first woman ordained a rabbi.

• This evening, enjoy Prague’s night life. Options include (separate cost):

o Black Light Theater show

o Classical music concerts

• We begin our day with a privately guidedsightseeing tour of Vienna’s Jewish interest sites,including Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial, theJewish Museum at Palaise Eskeles and theStadttempel Synagogue, the only Viennasynagogue to survive the war.

• We break for lunch on own.

• Optional Tour: This afternoon, we exploreSchönbrunn Palace, the Versailles of Vienna,graced by a number of formal gardens, Grecianstatuary, the world’s oldest zoo and the “Romanruin” erected in 1778 (separate cost).

• After dinner, we join together again to take in aconcert featuring the music of Mozart andStrauss (separate cost).

• Breakfast and check out of our hotel.

• This morning, we travel to Budapest via train.Situated on the opposite banks of the DanubeRiver, the former cities of Buda and Pest arelinked by a series of graceful bridges.

• Upon our arrival, we check into our hotel andrefresh.

• This evening, we celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat atthe Dohany Synagogue with the Neolog Jewishcommunity (options for Progressive services canbe arranged upon request).

• Following services, we enjoy dinner on own.(Shabbat Dinner with community or at a localrestaurant can be arranged).

• This morning, we enjoy a walking tour along theRingstrasse and through the historic center,where we view major landmarks, including theHofburg Imperial Palace (former seat of theAustro-Hungarian Empire), St. StephensCathedral and other vivid reminders of the city’simperial history.

• We continue our sightseeing tour with the mostbeautiful buildings in the city, including theimpressive State Opera, the Museum of ArtHistory, the Museum of Natural History at theMaria-Theresien Square, the Parliamentbuilding in the neoclassical style, the well-knownBurgtheater and the amazing City Hall.

• We return to our hotel to refresh and relax, thenset out for dinner on own.

• Enjoy a stroll among the coffee shops of Viennafollowed by dinner on own this evening.

• This morning, we participate in Shabbat servicesor we enjoy a panoramic group tour, includingthe Parliament, the Royal Palace and theCastle Hill area. We also visit the Fisherman’sBastion, Matthias Church of our Lady(Coronation Church), Hero’s Square and GellertHill.

• Afternoon at leisure to discover Budapest on ourown. Options include:

o Discovering the Great Market Hall and allit has to offer, from colorful produce tobeautiful flowers and fantastic meals suchas fresh fish, plus great people watchingand photo opportunities.

o Enjoying the Gellert Spa or another of theamazing bath houses for which Budapestis known.

o Stroll along Budapest’s’ Vaci Utcapedestrian shopping boulevard.

• Enjoy the evening at leisure and dinner on own.

WELCOME HOMEDAY 11: MONDAY

• Breakfast at our hotel.

• We begin our private touring day at the RaoulWallenberg memorial statue, then visit theDohany Synagogue and Jewish Museum, the2nd largest synagogue in Europe, and continue onto the Jewish cemetery. We also stop and visitthe Kazinczy Street Orthodox Synagogue.

• Next, we head to the area of the InternationalGhetto, where Moshe Krausz, together withforeign diplomats Carl Lutz, Raoul Wallenberg andothers set up safe houses in 1944, thereby savingthe lives of over 100,000 Jews. We examine therole of the “Righteous Gentile” in saving Jewsduring the Shoah.

• This afternoon, we visit the JCC as well as theMoishe House, a place where young adults intheir 20s come together to create a vibrant Jewishcommunity. We meet some of the residents andlearn about the programs they host for theirpeers.

• This evening, we set sail on a two-hour DanubeRiver dinner cruise, admiring the beautiful night-lit city sites along the way.Overnight in Budapest
