Only For Ritual Purposes
The centre lamp of Menorah was lit on entire day. Only fresh Olive oil was burnt to light the subdivisions of Menorah. In earlier days it was used for only ritual purposes.
Two Types Of Menorah
Mishkan Menorah: The first gold Menorah, having 7 subdivisions, was made by Bezalel. It was settled facing the table.
Chanukah Menorah: This 9 stems menorah was designed to represent Jewish 8 days holiday, Chanukah.
History
Till sixth century the Temple remains on record. When it was brought to Constantinople, it was vanished. According to history, either it was kept into any unknown place or it was destroyed or melt down.
Special Spiritual Significances
Jewish menorah, a simple candelabra or candle holder, is used in Jewish celebrations like Chanukah that has various spiritual significances. Generally nine branches and six or seven branches menorah are available in market.
