and TestA Portfolio by Jim Lynch
Microsoft•Design Verification Engineer
•Mechanical Engineer
Microsoft, Surface Group
Current work includes battery development, circuit hardware design verification, power sequence timing, power analysis, I2C and SMBus protocol, test plan and procedure development, data analysis, and report summary.
Microsoft, XBox Accessories
Purchased $145,000 in National Instruments hardware to develop prototype. Developed test pneumatic test fixture for controller as well as text fixtures for battery, UV light holder, LED and optical testing. Created test protocols for data collection and analysis.
Development work on XBOX One controller included designing test fixtures for button communications testing and timing, IR signal strength, and battery fixtures.
Microsoft, Personal Devices
Designed tests, designed and developed test fixtures, trained and over saw test technicians, analyzed test data, responsible for over $250k in test hardware, verified schematic and layout design, verified mechanical design and worked with outside consulting agencies.
Andrews Space•Test Engineer
•Electro-mechanical Designer/Technician
Automated Test Equipment, Andrews Space, complete design and fabrication of ATE. Assisted in power supply development. Built all final supplies to launch to ISS.
Developed architecture for software to control ATE and wrote half the code. Power supplies went through EMI, Shock, Vibe, Thermal Vac and Functional.
