DESCRIPTION
This year has been one of the very important ones in my life. I have thought a lot about design and my future. I realized that there is no end for learning as there is no end for zest for life. If sophomore year was about learning graphic design for the first time, junior year was all about developing my own voice. This year, I explored motion graphic design, as well as an aspect of design that exists in the real world through my internship. Furthermore, I developed my own true voice in my class. I learned not only about design and typography, but throughout the entire semester, worked on projects that reflect my life. For example, creating my self-portrait made be think deeply about myself and my life and I feel that I am constantly growing, yet still in the process. This portfolio will show a part of myself and my junior year. It is the best representation of me at the present time, yet I know that I can push myself further in the coming year.

Pattern Design_ A Bundle of Thoughts
I like doodling and drawing. This figure is from my sketch book and through transforming and repeat-ing it, I made an abstract pattern. It feels weird yet unique and dreamy.

This project was to redesign the game Monopoly using a theme so I chose overseas travel. It will help people learn about the countries and places that they travel to with a fun approach.

Milky Herb
This project was to take a found object and transform it into a product. I found these old milk bottles in a vintage shop. From the milk bottle idea I created a milk and herb brand for bathing which is organic and a heathy product for the body.

Eve of Wellness
“Eve of Wellness” is a holistic heath counseling busi-ness and wellness spa. “Eve” means the day before, the dawn and the beginning. “Eve of Wellness” also means the first day of the rest of your living in well-ness, so I designed this logo with a natural and bo-tanical shape.

This logo is for pan-European restaurant. Europe is a massive society that combines many cultures and cuisines which the logo reveals. Each of the three spiral graphics has their own color but they can be mixed together easily.

“Princess of Polka Dot - Yayoi Kusama”
Yayoi Kusama is a famous Japanese artist and she uses dots as a huge inspiration for her work and are her trademark. This exhibition brochure is designed keeping her art and personality in mind by making it unique and fun.

Jane Austen
Jane Austen was a famous author, and she wrote romantic feminist novels. Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, and Emma are her well known mas-terpieces. These three books’ main characters are women, and also these stories are about their love, so I want to create romantic and lovely books.

“Read”
This work is about answering this question, “What is a typeface?” I think that type has to be legible even if it is small so that people can read it. When type is big and distorted, people see dots, but can’t read them as type.

This project is for myself and I feel like many peo-ple may have questioned the same subject. We always want to be free, but we are mature adults who are responsible for our behavior. This book is about becoming an adult and the mature feelings and thoughts that I have experienced. I designed the typography with my own style collage.

Movie Title Sequence _ A Happy Flight
This is title sequence for a movie, A Happy Flight which is about people who are working at an air-port and with airplanes. Their unique episodes are funny and interesting. Throughout the 30 sec., I want to give the feeling of the movie.

In Show Bug - Logo AM _ Graveyardshift
This project is from my internship. During the show, the show’s logo appears in the upper right hand corner. I animated a one hour long program, de-signed the logo and designed the appearance and disappearance of the logo throughout the show. It changes from Logo AM to Graveyard shift in the middle of the show.
