About the Project
In 2014 the Czech Athletic Federation enters its fifth
year of “Athletics for children” programme. The aim of
the programme is to provide opportunity for the parents
and their children to do athletics by offering regular
after-school groups and promoting athletics for young
children in the clubs themselves. The target age group
is 5 to 11 years.
Aim of the project
1. Present athletics as a sport for every child
2. Introduce athletics to children
3. Support training of youngest athletes

Children of pre-school and primary school age
• Athletic kindergarten 5 – 6 yrs
• Athletic mini prep group 7 – 9 yrs
• Athletic prep group 10 – 11 yrs
What we do?
• We organize Education Programs for Coaches and Asistents who run Athletics for Children
• We produce - Study Materials for Coaches
• We strongly support the Promotion of Project
• We encourage Production of appropriate equipment
• We support and organize „Atletika pro děti“ Events
• We support and organize Prep group competions
Education
2010 - 2014 :
• Coach of prep (Level I) 484 new coaches
• Coach of pupils 12-15 age (Level II) 484 new coaches
• Athletic Coach Third Class (Lewel III) 489 new coaches
• Athletic Coach Second Class (Level IV) with specialization for Children and Youth - 35 new
• Athletic Coach First Class- 33 new

• CAF 60.512 athletes in 280 athletics clubs
• 2340 coaches (879 level I and level II)
• 220 places with „Atletika pro děti“
• More than 18 000 children in these Projects now ( 1,8 mil euro to clubs per year)
