Today Audio capture, editing and publication

Download stuff and accept John’s health and safety warning about filetypes

Play with Audacity

Think about social audio apps

Establish what equipment, software and workflow works for you!

First things first Download Audacity via ‘install a programme from the

network’ via the start menu

Download Lame from ‘install a programme from the network’ (this allows Audacity to export files as MP3s – which some audio hosting sites might require)

Download Total Video Converter from ‘install a programme from the network’

While downloading this software from the university network, connect to the university WiFi and download (one or both) Soundcloud and Audioboo

Go to the interweb and figure out how to transfer content from your ‘device’ to the university PC

Next Form small groups and come up with an

interesting topic to interview each other on

Go and interview each other on these topics – You can either use a native recorder… Or a social audio app

Come back … and then transfer the audio to the university (how you do this will depend on what you used to record the interview)

Repeat if necessary
