Are you a mechanical engineer with experience from working with design, fabrication, construction andtechnical trouble-shooting on major rotating equipment systems within the oil and gas or similar industries?Maersk Oil is looking for a Senior Rotating Engineer for the Technical Department in our Esbjerg Offices.The Esbjerg Offices constitute the headquarters for all Maersk Oil production activities in the Danish sectorof the North Sea. Approximately 350 onshore employees are on a daily basis working in the office and theworking environment is international, hectic and characterized by highly skilled and motivated employees.

We Offer

As senior rotating engineer youwill be a member of themechanical group in Facilities,Technical Department. The groupsupports the correspondingproject groups and offshoreproduction assets. Furthermoreand in close co-operation withother departments the groupundertakes engineering activitiesfor modification andimprovement projects, specifiesand coordinates maintenanceactivities and ensures that e.g.technical standards etc. arereflecting current best practice.If you are a qualified mechanicalengineer with experience fromworking with design or projectmanagement of rotatingequipment packages, preferablywithin the oil and gas or similarindustries we might have theright job for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotating equipment specialist• Support onshore and offshorepersonnel regarding technicalissues within rotating area ofexpertise• Review of projects for ourproject group and off-shoremodification proposals • Carry out conceptual studiesand prepare recommendationsand technical solutions• Project management of minormechanical projects with rotatingequipment content• Prepare and updatemaintenance specifications,guidelines and standards • Support, troubleshoot anddraw conclusions on repeatedfailures across assets• Support and investigate inconnection with incidents• Liaison and knowledge sharingwith other business units withinMaersk Oil

The work will primarily takeplace in the Esbjerg offices. Youwill be involved in supportingyour colleagues with yourknowledge within the mechanicaldiscipline to ensure that our weare in compliance with companyand international standards andguidelines. Some travel activitiesabroad as well as visits at ouroffshore facilities is to beexpected. You will join a varied,dynamic and internationalenvironment with a high level ofactivity. Our internationalengagements can on a longerterm offer stationing abroad.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate holdsminimum 7 years of workexperience from a similar position.Knowledge of the oil and gasindustry is preferred; experiencefrom the industry is optimal. Youhold a degree at BSc or MSc levelin mechanical engineering. Youwork independently and efficiently.Furthermore, you are motivatedand have the ability and desire tofind technically and financiallyoptimal solutions.Proficiency in both verbal andwritten English is a pre-requisite.
