Maersk Oil is looking for a Senior Rotating Engineer for the Technical Department in our Esbjerg Offices. The Esbjerg Offices constitute the headquarters for all Maersk Oil production activities in the Danish sector of the North Sea. Approximately 350 onshore employees are on a daily basis working in the office and the working environment is international, hectic and characterized by highly skilled and motivated employees. We Offer As senior rotating engineer you will be a member of the mechanical group in Facilities, Technical Department. The group supports the corresponding project groups and offshore production assets. Furthermore and in close co-operation with other departments the group undertakes engineering activities for modification and improvement projects, specifies and coordinates maintenance activities and ensures that e.g. technical standards etc. are reflecting current best practice. If you are a qualified mechanical engineer with experience from working with design or project management of rotating equipment packages, preferably within the oil and gas or similar industries we might have the right job for you. Key Responsibilities • Rotating equipment specialist • Support onshore and offshore personnel regarding technical issues within rotating area of expertise • Review of projects for our project group and off-shore modification proposals • Carry out conceptual studies and prepare recommendations and technical solutions • Project management of minor mechanical projects with rotating equipment content • Prepare and update maintenance specifications, guidelines and standards • Support, troubleshoot and draw conclusions on repeated failures across assets • Support and investigate in connection with incidents • Liaison and knowledge sharing with other business units within Maersk Oil The work will primarily take place in the Esbjerg offices. You will be involved in supporting your colleagues with your knowledge within the mechanical discipline to ensure that our we are in compliance with company and international standards and guidelines. Some travel activities abroad as well as visits at our offshore facilities is to be expected. You will join a varied, dynamic and international environment with a high level of activity. Our international engagements can on a longer term offer stationing abroad. Who we are looking for The successful candidate holds minimum 7 years of work experience from a similar position. Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred; experience from the industry is optimal. You hold a degree at BSc or MSc level in mechanical engineering. You work independently and efficiently. Furthermore, you are motivated and have the ability and desire to find technically and financially optimal solutions.
