1-0pen roof (A, Fig. 10). Open side window and remove trim moldings (B) at rear of right front post and at bottom of side window.
2-Remove right-hand headlight access panel (C).
3-Disconnect all wires from harness, including headlight and taillight.
4-Attach a wire to one end of the harness and pull the harness out from the other end, so the wire can be used to pull a new harness into position.
5-Attach new harness to wire. Insert Molex connector (molded connector with nine round terminals) through hole in inner roof. Pull harness down into position.
6-Make all connections to the harness. Check all electrical components in the Sound-Gard Body to be sure they all work.
?-Install split hoses around harness where it passes through the top of the fender and the inner roof. Route harness away from any sharp edges.
8-lnstall grommets on tail light wire. Install trim molding and headlight access panel. Close roof.

7. Remove clutch operating assembly (F, Fig. 11 ). If transmission clutch shaft does not come out with operating assembly, pull shaft forward to remove.
Q-Pin* A-Shifter Arm S-Two-Speed Planetary
Fig. 13-2-Speed Power Shift Planetary (Early 4430 shown)
*NOTE: Later 4430 model operating arm is retained to shaft with a pin as with 4630 tractors (Fig. 14). This eliminates the heafled pin (Q, Fig. 13).
8. Remove pin (Q) in upper left-hand corner of clutch housing to remove control valve shifter cam shaft out the side of the housing and remove shifter arm (R). Note that the 4630 pin (U, Fig. 14) must be driven out.
9. Remove small hex. bushing from planetary (S) if it did not come out with the clutch shaft.
NOTE: The planetary can be removed from the clutch housing without removing the PTO drive gear.
10. Make a tool with a 1 /4-inch (6 mm) diameter rod at least one foot (300 mm) long. (The rod must be small enough to go through the transmission input shaft.
a. Either flatten one end of the rod and bend over slightly to form a hook;
b} Or, braze a 1 /2-inch (13 mm) OD (max.) flat washer on the end of the rod.
11. Align splines in front sun gear with transmission input shaft.
