You Can DiscoverFrom the album Sunday's Child, this is a lovely smooth song, and one of my favourites to play. The remastered version of the album includes bonus tracks, with alternative takes of various tracks, including this one. I prefer the alternative version. The cover I have done below, and the playing notes, are based on the performance of the song on the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975, which was followed by an echoplex piece that is awesome. I have also included a cover of this song by Ian McGeachy, which includes the echoplex piece. I couldn't not include it, because it is simply brilliant.Playing NotesBasing this on the OGWT version, the tuning is around G#F#G#D#F#B. That's pretty low, andyou'll find that the low G# is pretty slack. Takes some getting used to.

The basic chord shapes are as follows (low to high)0 2 0 0 0 0 - Ian plays a hammer on to 0 2 2 0 0 0, but I can't get my head around the timing of it.I don't find it essential to play the hammer, provided you get the rhythm right. Following that, the chords are: -X 10 0 12 0 0 (with occasional harmonics played X 10 0 12 12h 0)X 9 0 10 0 0X 0 5 7 0 0 (I hammer on the 5 - sounds nice to me)X 0 7 8 0 0 (again, I hammer on the 7)

The best way to get the timing and the chord changes is to watch the OGWT video, but I hope thatmy video will be helpful for you too.

Lyrics - have a listen to the different versions for alternative lines.(AGAEGC tuning)

One day our laughter comes flowing with the rain And on the very next day, our sorrow sees us crying again But darling: you can discover the lover in me I can discover the lover in thee Together we can roll and tumble until the cow come home. Sometimes our story's just too beautiful to tell Like the bells on a Sunday, blues on a Monday, go together well But darling: you can discover the lover in me I can discover the lover in thee Together we can rock and roll until the cow come home. Sometimes, some kind of sadness shows upon your face Sometimes, some kind of madness tries to take my place But darling: you can discover the lover in me And I can discover the lover in thee Together we can rock and roll until the cow come home. One day our laughter comes flowing with the rain And on the very next day our laughter sees us crying again But darling: you can discover the lover in me And I can discover the lover in thee I can discover the lover in thee You can discover the lover in me Together we can rock and roll until the cow come home
