2010 Johnson Controls receives Mexico Equity Gender Certification

• Mexican government created the National Women’s Institute (Inmujeres) to eliminate gender-related discrepancies

• The Institute issues certification based on the Gender Equity Model (GEM) introduced by the World Bank

• To achieve certification, companies must demonstrate that they recruit without discrimination, provide equal access to training and development opportunities, and reduce or eliminate compensation gaps between men and women.
