The trains date back to 1874 and ourjourney takes us through picturesque scenery.Sunday – We include a ride on theSnaefell Mountain Railway, which at2,036ft offers some spectacular views(weather permitting!) of the island.Monday – Today’s excursion takes us toRushen Abbey (NT) with its fascinating,‘Story of Mann’. We continue toCastletown and Peel before returning toour hotel.Tuesday – The day begins with a visit to theCurraghs Wildlife Park. Tour ItineraryThursday – We travel to Dover for theshort ferry crossing to Calais and arrive inZaandam, where we board the MPSEsmeralda.Friday – We take an excursion to thebeautifully preserved Dutch village ofZaanse Schans, with its characteristicwooden houses, museums and windmills.We return to the ship for lunch and duringthe afternoon cruise to Alkmaar, a busytown famed for its ancient cheese market.Saturday – An early departure as we cruiseto the bustling port of Hoorn, birthplace ofthe explorer Willem Schouten, who namedthe infamous Cape Horn after his hometown. Explore the 17th century merchantshouses and warehouses lining thewaterfront and admire the yachts in theharbour. This evening, we continue on theIjsselmeer to Volendam.Sunday – We leave Volendam and travelto the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens,which will be awash with colour at this timeof year. Maybe take a ride on one of the‘whisper boats’, which are almost silent asthey sail through the beautiful bulblandscape. We include a packed lunch to betaken during our time in the gardens.Monday – We disembark after breakfastand return to Calais to catch our ferry toDover and then continue home to theMidlands.

Wednesday – Relax and enjoy a day at leisure. Tonight you will be treated to atraditional Hangi (feast) and Maori concert. After dinner we enjoy a relaxing guidedwalk through Rainbow Springs, to experience live Kiwis running around in thespecial Kiwi enclosure.Thursday – This morning visit The New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Instituteand the famous Pohutu Geyser. Then, we board the Skywaywith its world first Electro-Sceni Glass Floor. When we arrive at Scenic World, we take a rideon both the Flyway & the Scenic Railway. It takes us into the World Heritage ListedRainforest of the Jamison Valley. From here we wander along the 300m boardwalk to thebase of the Scenic Railway. Provisional booking – A simple telephone call is all that is needed. We canhold places for you without obligation for 7 days. You can book directly with ourTravel Office or through an appointed Travel Agent.

Confirming a booking – We ask you to complete and sign a bookingform. All air and cruise holidays require a deposit of £250 per person.Upon receipt of your booking form we will send you a confirmation/invoice.

Paying the balance – The balance is payable 10 WEEKS PRIOR TO THEDATE OF DEPARTURE (6 WEEKS FOR UK AIR TOURS). The amount due and thedate by which it is payable is clearly shown on your confirmation/invoice.Please note that REMINDERS ARE NOT SENT.

Methods of payment – Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Visa,Mastercard and Switch. Please note that there is a 2% charge for paymentsmade by credit card.

Your holiday travelpack – 7-10 days prior toyour holiday you will receiveyour travel pack which willcontain luggage labels,your home pick-up time,hotel addresses andtelephone numbers and anyextra information regardingyour holiday.

Holiday TravelInsurance –Our popular insurance cover isagain recommended and istailored to suit the needs ofour passengers. You will findthe costs detailed in theInformation section of eachholiday. Please note that we dorequire all passengers to beinsured for all holidays outsideof the UK.Our travel insurance isextensive and straightforward – there are no age restrictions and no automatic healthscreening – this applies to UK and European air tours. For cruises andworldwide tours a simple heath check procedure is operated.For passengers opting for Johnsons holiday insurance, full details of inclusions,exclusions, excesses, excess waiver and claims procedure can be found in theinsurance section on page 2 of the booking form in the centre of this brochure.A certificate showing full details of the policy, inclusions, exclusions and claimsprocedure is issued when booking. Should the need arise to make a claim,contact us immediately by telephone and then in writing and we will do therest.

Passports – For all UK air tours, photographic identification is required.For European air tours, cruises and long haul holidays, you will require avalid passport.

Porterage – We include this in the price of almost all our holidays.Please note however that on air tours, passengers are required to be responsiblefor their own luggage at airports.

Flight Times – Please note that all flight times are subject to change by theairline.

Itineraries – All itineraries featured in this brochure are subject to change dueto local conditions.
