TRAINING INSTITUTEODVN offers an extensive training program on topics such as improving the police and medical response to domestic violence, advocacy fundamentals, justice systems advocacy, trauma informed care, impact on children and others. ODVN also provides training designed to improve the response of allied professionals, increase safety for domestic violence survivors and to hold perpetrators accountable.
LOCAL PROGRAM SUPPORTODVN offers on-site and telephone consultation to build the capacity of domestic violence shelters, programs and allied professionals. ODVN helps to identify and respond to the unique needs of children living with domestic violence and runaway/homeless youth, develop trauma-informed and
collaborations with the child welfare system. ODVN sponsors networking caucuses and task forces for legal advocates, child advocates, women of color and Executive Directors.

focused on preventing domestic violence, dating violence, intimate partner violence, and family violence. Services are geared toward health promotion and keeping violence
preventing violence through the Ohio Men’s Action Network (www.OHMAN-Ohio.org).
PUBLIC POLICYODVN works to create social change and reform systems to improve the response to and expand protections for survivors of domestic violence. Public policy work includes monitoring and providing testimony and education on state and federal legislation.
LEGAL ASSISTANCE FOR VICTIMS PROJECTODVN’s civil legal assistance project provides legal help to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking who are unable to secure legal services privately or through other resources such as Legal Aid, Crime Victims Compensation, local clinics or pro bono programs.
