GUEST SERVICES Zoo Hours April-October – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. November-March – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests may stay in the park for one hour after the admission gate closes. The zoo is closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and when the walks are covered with ice or snow. Admission Fees Adults and Teens ................. $15 Children ages 3-12..............$10 60 & older ............................. $12 (discounted admission) Children age 2 and younger and FOZ members are admitted free. The group rate for groups with 15 or more paying admission is $6 for adults/teens and $4 for children ages 3-12. Group rates do not apply with other discounts or coupons. Titus Express Miniature Train Tickets are $2 per person or 2 tokens. Children younger than 2 ride free. Cash is accepted at the attendant’s station to purchase ride tickets. Guests may also use two tokens per person to ride the train. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily, April–October 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily in March For our guests’ safety, the train operates weather permitting. The train ride is closed November–February. Food and Drinks The Bush Country Café serves hot sandwiches, snacks, beverages and frozen treats. A variety of packaged snacks and bottled drinks are available year-round at the Safari Trading Company gift shop. Bush Country Café hours: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily, April–October 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., daily in March 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weekends November–February Large coolers, picnic lunches and glass containers are not allowed. Safari Trading Company Gift Shop The gift shop is open during admission gate operating hours. Strollers • Wheelchairs Single strollers ($7) and double strollers ($9) are available at the admission gate. The zoo also rents electric convenience vehicles (“power chairs”) for $25 with a driver’s license as a deposit. Manual wheelchairs are available upon request. Contact Areas – For the animals’ health and safety, please only give feed provided by the zoo. We recommend all guests wash their hands after touching or feeding animals. Feeding times may be limited to prevent over-feeding. The Outback Corral is open when an attendant is present (9 a.m.–5 p.m., April–October, and from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., in March). Animal feed is available for purchase during these designated feeding times. The Outback Corral is closed for the season November–February. Petting zoo feed machines accept tokens for feed purchases. A change machine is available to exchange paper money for tokens. The Giraffe Deck is open when an attendant is present. Feed can be purchased for giraffes during designated feeding times. Cash is accepted at the attendant’s station on the deck; feed is $4. RESPECT THE ANIMALS During your zoo visit, please abide by the posted safety warnings and signs. Taunting zoo animals is dangerous and prohibited. For the health and well-being of our animals, please only feed those animals in designated feeding areas – the Outback Corral petting zoo, giraffe deck and fish/ waterfowl feeding. In all other areas of the zoo, do not throw food of any type into exhibits or attempt to feed animals through fences. Coins and other objects are also very dangerous to the animals and should never be thrown into an exhibit. If you drop something into an exhibit, please alert a staff member so the item can be retrieved. CODE OF CONDUCT We want everyone’s zoo visit to be enjoyable, safe and comfortable. Please follow all posted rules and show courtesy to your fellow park guests. Vulgarity, public intoxication, theft, excessive rowdiness and other disrespectful actions that disrupt other guests or our staff will not be tolerated. This behavior will result in ejection from the zoo without a refund on admission. PHOTO AND VIDEO POLICY Your admission to Dickerson Park Zoo serves as your permission for use of your image for promotional or educational purposes by the zoo or other entities promoting the zoo. Commercial photography or videography is prohibited without the permission of the zoo. May 9 Spring Friends of the Zoo Members Night - appreciation picnic. Invite only. 6-8:30 p.m. more details to follow. May 12 Mother’s Day. Mothers receive free admission all day. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 16 Rain date for Spring Members Night…if needed. 6-8:30 p.m. May 17 Summer Shootout Invitational – 12:00 p.m at Ozark Shooters Complex, Walnut Shade. our elephant herd, there may not always be an elephant in the public viewing yard.

The animals always have a fresh water source that is

often hidden from view. Pools may be drained for cleaning

or maintenance, but the pools are not the animals’

main source of water.
