Size and MassThe tiger shark is known to grow from 10
feet to 14 feet. It can weigh from 850 pounds to 1,400 pounds
But there has been one’s that are between 20-25 feet and over 2,000 pounds, but are rarely seen from being heavily hunted.
Living space
The tiger shark prefers sub-tropical area’s and tropical area’s as well can live for up to 50 years in the wild
foodTiger sharks are know to be killers. They
have been known to eat anything that can be bitten through or swallowed, they are recorded as the second most in kills in killing humans.
Tiger sharks have very powerful, serrated and sharp teeth.
Adaptations & FactsTiger sharks have highly serrated teeth that
are sharp and curved as they help him eat better.
They also have very good eye-sight and hearing abilities.
The tiger shark roams around the sea at an average speed of 2.4 mph, but when needed can swim very fast in short spurts.
Human impactTiger shark’s are heavily hunted for their
fins, skin, flesh and liver’s, the livers because they produce high amounts of vitamin A.
