  • My name is Jos Ignacio Surez Praun, I was born in Guatemala and lived there my whole childhood. Over the years, I had also the opportunity to live and study in the United States and Spain learning and adapting to very diferent cultures and socie-ties. I discovered my passion for art and architec-ture at a very young age, which has allowed me to follow and develop my career till now. Being able to travel throughout America, Europe and NorthernAfrica made me more conscious about housing, cities and different ways of living under very diverse conditions.

not mean it has to do with animism or

  • The proposal must present a reflec-tion on the contem-porary way of living

The cigarral has a peculiar spirit, which is as the reason for his personality as his soul. If a cigarral is not like any other kind of property is not the whitewashed house, nor the fragrant gar-dens and discreet, nor the serene olive grove. Its because it looks at Toledo, and that serves no more-and more -. Than for this

  • A Flowers Market in a unique place of La Granja de San Il-defonso requires a performance at the Fountain of Mallo - one of the oldest (1728) in La granja forgotten and needed to be recovered, and Melancolia Street in the section that runs from the nursery, parallel to the Melan-colia Grove. Need to think how it affects the scope and the relationship between the town and gardens.

Transport is a comparative advantage in some re-spects, such as fuel consumption per ton kilometer transported, the entity that causes the environmental impact the possibility of mass transport, which make significant use in the modern world. There was a time when the railroad was the backbone of the postal transport, arriving to be made in 1957-246 expedi-tions daily. Correspondence in and out of cars at each stop Post. The June 30, 1993 departed from the port of Chamartin express train dragged the last street post office that swept the Spanish territory. Almost fifteen years later reproduced this picture of manners in which not even the employees missed the postal company, collecting and classifying shipments corre-sponding postmark.

The project has its central point in the old Delicias station, which was one of the main stations of Madrid, housed inside the Railway Museum. For this reason a careful intervention with this building and its sur-roundings is proposed to be a comprehensive project to rehabilitate the land area owned by the national railway company between the Delicias quarter and its connection with the Tierno Galvan Park.

EUROPEAN HI-SPEED TRAIN NETWORKFUTURE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE MAINEUROPEAN CITIES THE BIGGEST AND MOST EFFICIENT NETWORK IN THE WORLD.

  • The site is located in a strategic location in the center of Ma-drid, located in the southern part of the city, with direct ac-cess to the M30 pe-rimeter highway that connects the differ-ent output logistics centers.

CASTELLANA-PRADO-MENDEZ ALVARO MAINSHAFTUrban problems connecting , accessibility, definition of uses and activities and local and urban facilities posing the area delimited by reference, and the necessary redefinition of the role to be played by the urban elements including determinants (New Atocha railway complex and areas of development planning ; Delicias station and the space southeast of it, including the Tierno Galvn park , east 30th Street and bow railway station containers Abroigal ) make necessary exceed the scope and content of the regulated Plan special planned urban urban vision and propose a broader and comprehensive nature , which allows file management and intervention in the area described alternatives. These circumstances justify the choice and the need for a framework broader , more flexible and ambitious to establish territorial, urban and planning guidelines for a strategic area of the city. It is for this reason that the development of a master plan instead of a special instrument regulated urban planning is proposed. From this perspective, the inner part of the designated area is a very unique urban piece located between the unique projects Recoletos Madrid Prado and Rio . These projects are defining the management and running of two significant urbanization representation spaces of the city of Madrid. In this sense, this Master Plan raises the desirability of facilitating and promoting a continuum physical, functional between these two large urban areas preferably for leisure and civic culture , building a structure of self. Meanwhile the outer part is one of the key strategic urban future and raise alternatives linked also to the solution of continuity physical and functional integrated transport system , and / or processing of the same and future urban uses , allow to outline alternatives to the center-south relations and , therefore , assess the medium and long term.

The program develops around the old passengers station with a 1 km long pathway that goes inside and works as a spinal column wich holds all the project together letting pe-destrians & bicycles move around the park, also holds all the electric and ven-tilation systems needed.

  • The result of the complex, made with eight modules with creates a structure that holds the textile wich covers all the platforms without us-ing pilars leaving a free ground floor.

The program is located around this structure, with the passen-gers train terminal, the hotel and conventions center, metro sta-tion and the courier pavilions.

The pedestrians just walk across throughout the complex by el-evated pathways wich conects with the Tierno Galvan Park (south).

The subdivisions and existing party walls scheme is maintained. These dividing are made with gran-ite masonry, typical of the area.

The proposal is to continue the scheme continuing subdivisions in the entire site perimeter en-closing the old bakery building, creating courtyards and internal spaces which are conducive to a more human urban life and offers activities throughout the day.
