Josh Benson, Superintendent Hopefully summer is almost here as temperatures start to make there way into the 80's and we can play golf without a jacket. Over past month we have been spraying weeds weekly to stay ahead of the dandelion bloom that has hit hard this year. The effort is starting to show on the course. As for projects on the golf course we haven't really had any, just been mowing trying to stay caught up on rough and seeding and replacing dead area's where needed. For the month of June we will begin trim-ming trees up and knocking down the weeds and long grass under them to keep them looking good and playable. The four hole short course is ready for play as well and we will begin cutting cups in them as soon as they are putt able, so for now they can be used as target practice. On June 9th we will have a Member work night, starting at 6 p.m. and we will be filling divots and edging sprinkler heads. Every-one is welcomed to participate. I have heard a lot of good comments about the golf course and the crew and I appreciate all of them. Thank you and will see you on the course.

overages. It is amazing and heartwarming the generosity and support of so many members. Thank you to those that have opened their hearts, minds and wallets, and recognizing the need and change for growth in the future. Anyone wanting to contribute to the success of your club, all donations are appreciated and accepted. We anticipate a final town hall meeting mid to late July to disclose final design, membership

offerings, and budget details, at which time a full membership vote to proceed under those conditions will

be taken and tallied. As per the by-laws of the club, we will notify you at least 10 days in advance of the

actual meeting time and place, so please keep your eyes, and minds open.

The summer is flying by with the fourth of July just around the corner and a busy June is completed. We were able to get the tree rings sodded this past month and these area's will be ready for play in about a week. We also removed two dead tree's from the left side of # 10, so this will help to make the lane look clean. I would like to thank everyone who showed up for Member Work Day! We had a good turn out and were able to fill divots on every hole and edge plenty of sprinkler heads. For the month of July we will continue to trim up tree's as our main project for the month and mow a lot of rough. I want to remind everyone to please fix your ball marks on the greens. I have noticed over the past couple weeks that a lot of marks are not getting repaired and the sooner we fix them, the quicker they will recover. Also if you like to eat sunflower seeds while playing golf please do not SPIT the shells on the greens. Not only does the shell affect a putt if you hit one but, they are not good on the greens mower blades. So if you could please refrain from eating them on the greens that would be a big help. Thanks to everyone for the positive comments about the course. I look forward to seeing you swing your clubs.
