Josh Walden is an accomplished actor/singer/dancer who has performed on Broadway, Off Broadway, National Tours, prestigious Regional Theatres around the country and World Cruises. He has been awarded incredibly diverse opportunities ranging from tap dancing leading men to flaming hispanic lovers. Josh’s professionalism and dedication to creating full
bodied characters with depth has afforded him a highly successful career within the many disciplines of theatre. Whether singing an Italian aria in a Charles Mee play or kicking his face through the highly athletic choreography of Jerry Mitchell, Josh Walden is a true triple threat based in the traditions of Stanislavski.
“Josh Walden is a versatile character actor and talented physical comedian, singer, and dancer.”-Erin Morrison-Fortunato, City Newspaper

Monica, the Musical :
“...but it is Josh Walden who steals the show with his earnest, wildly hilarious take on Stephanopoulos.” -Amy Krivohlavek, offoffonline.com
On the Town:
“Dark featured and squarely built, Walden has the stolid forthrightness of a boy from Smallville, Ind. But when he sings (an aching ``Lonely Town’’) or lets his long limbs swoon in Cortez’s presence, his whole body seems to sigh in tremulous resignation to his feelings.”- Steven Winn, San Francisco Chronicle
Funny Girl :
“Walden is a superior dancer and singer, and even though his character complains about the pace Fanny sets for herself, his own energy seems endless and he gives an electrifying performance.”-Tom Woods, Auburn Pub
Josh was given the extraordinary experience of working with Julie Andrews twice in a reading of the musical adaptation of her children’s book, Simeon’s Gift, directed by Tony-nominated director Marcia Milgrom Dodge for Bay Street Theatre.
In the summer of 2011, Josh originated the roles of Manita Bryant, Gidde and Robert in the world premiere of Tales of the City at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco with Tony-nominated director Jason Moore, Tony-winning book writer Jeff Whitty and members of the glam rock band, The Scissor Sisters.
