Journey  to  the  Center  of  the  Earth  Comic  Due:  Friday,  September  16th    

 Objective:  Create  a  comic  strip  that  describes  an  imaginary  journey  through  the  Earth’s  crust,  mantle,  outer  core  and  inner  core.      Requirements:    

• Title  and  author  (2  points)  • Layers  of  the  Earth  are  in  correct  order  (4  points)  • At  least  6  boxes  with  picture  and  text  in  each  (12  points)  • At  least  1  fact  about  the  crust,  mantle,  outer  core,  inner  core  (5  points)  • Creativity,  color  and  neatness  (5  points)  • Use  of  the  following  vocabulary:  crust,  mantle,  outer  core,  inner  core,  lithosphere,  

asthenosphere,  density,  convection  current  (7  points)    Total:  35  points
