Seminar is a required component of the Henrico County IB
Program Students are responsible for attending seminar weekly,
participating in the lessons and completing the take-home
assignments. All seminar information is posted on my website Each
month a different LP is highlighted for the entire school Lessons
in seminar are designed around the LP There will be group
discussions, films, guest speakers, and reflection on what was
learned. All homework assignments will be graded and count toward a
different class

Responsibilitiesto represent the interests of each IB class, to
attend monthly meetings with Mrs. Harper, to participate in all IB
activities including IB Advisory, parent meetings, IB Tours, IB
outreach, specialty center info sessions, and to lead your peers
with enthusiasm and positivity Purposeto act as a liaison between

Experiential learning is an educational philosophy. The idea is
that the learning process is enhanced when people get involved and
experience situations first-hand. Simply put, its learning by
doing; then reflecting on the doing. Writing quality reflections is
part of the CAS process. An activity without reflection is just
another experience NOT CAS! They transform life situations into
learning-experiences Critical thinking is an essential skill. The
learner must evaluate the experience and develop a new set of
values
