REGISTRATION
Consult with your advisor about registering. Please register early to ensure your space in courses.
PAYMENT
Details are available on the MyJSC Portal (myJSC.jsc.edu). Under “Web Services” at right, select “Student Billing/Financials,” then “Make a Payment/View Your Bill,” to locate your bill. A $100 late fee will be applied if your bill is not paid by the first day of classes.
FINANCIAL AID
Make sure your file is complete with Student Financial Services by viewing your Financial Aid Document Status on Web Services. All correspondence will be sent to your JSC email account. If you need assistance, please contact Student Financial Services at 800-635-2356 or 802-635-1671.
SYLLABI
Syllabi for distance-learning courses are posted online at jsc.edu/academics/distance-learning-at-jsc/course-information. All available syllabi are posted by August 1 for the fall semester, with remaining syllabi posted as they become available from the instructor.
Syllabi also are available on the MyJSC.jsc.edu portal. (Under “Student Links” at the top left of your screen, select “EDP Syllabi.”)
It is your responsibility to obtain course syllabi before classes start and to be prepared for the first class meeting.
MANDATORY ATTENDANCE
Attendance is mandatory at all Saturday and Sunday classes. Please do not register for these courses if you know you cannot attend all classes.
TEXTBOOKS
Texts are available through the Johnson State College Bookstore. Call 802-635-2503 to obtain prices and order books, or order online at www.jsc.bkstr.com. Only books that are unused can be returned within 15 days of the start of classes. Some textbooks may be available to rent.
WAITLIST ENROLLMENT
The capacity of online courses is 22 students, and up to four additional waitlisted students can be added to an online course. Waitlisted students will be added to courses based on their program code. Additional sections of a course will be added as appropriate to ensure that students have access to the courses they need. The capacity of face-to-face courses is 20 students due to classroom size. When an opening becomes available in a course that had been full, the first student on the waitlist will be registered for the course, regardless of program code. Please sign up for the waitlist only if you are certain you will take the course if added.
JSC EMAIL
Your JSC email account is the official email address that faculty and other College personnel will use to contact you electronically. You are responsible for knowing info sent to your JSC email account.

P) Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Exam for Distance Learning Students
(JSC Online & EDP)
Students who entered JSC Online or EDP from Spring 2010 onward need to take and pass the Quantitative Reasoning (QR) Assessment Exam or take MAT 1080 Intro to Quantitative Reasoning to meet Part I of the QR Graduation Standard. Exception: Students who have an associate degree do not need to take this exam or MAT 1080. (However, all students need to take and pass a quantitatively enriched [QE] course to meet part II of the standard.)
If you need to take the exam, please contact your advisor and ask to be registered to take GRS-2000 on one of the following testing dates/times.
The exam will appear on your portal page looking like an online course. You can take the exam wherever you have access to the Internet. There is no cost to take this assessment, and it can be done only twice.
Note: You must pass the Quantitative Reasoning Assessment, or MAT 1080, or have an associate’s degree before you can enroll in a quantitatively enriched (QE) course. Passing a QE course is required to meet the graduation standard in Quantitative Reasoning.
