Monday Options
Compass JudoJudo is an ideal form of physical exercise for all ages, males and females, and serves as a great cardiovascular workout, which improves stamina, co-ordination, mental reaction time, general health and overall fitness.
Girls Multi-Sports
The Multi Sports Enrichment Learning in Compass is about introducing Girls to a wide range of sporting activities, harvesting potential no matter how great or small, and developing life skills such as confidence, personal achievement and teamwork.
STEMSTEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. We focus on these areas together not only because the skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for student success, but also because these fields are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively.
Scrabble Challenge
We will be using scrabble to broaden our knowledge and understanding of the English language.
African Drumming
Southwark Music Service is giving you the chance to experience African Drumming. You will learn the rhythms and the culture of the West African people as well as the chance to play two different African drums. No previous experience required, just be ready to have fun!
My Math’sBecome an independent learner. Use the MyMaths platform to practise your key skills, explore new topics and improve your level. Take the opportunity to spend an hour of focussed learning every week on top of what you do at home.

Year 7Compass Craft
Ever heard of Minecraft, well meet Compass-Craft. Learn to play Minecraft and practice your 21st Century Skills. You will work with other students in the group, building a community and exploring the world.
Chess Guild
Learn how to play chess and compete against others. Excellent for developing your strategic awareness, resilience and creativity.
Latin DanceLatin is a lively, rhythmical dance. The Latin music rhythm has been danced around the world since its inception and it has made it’s way to Compass School, where you now have the chance to experience true Latin culture.
Compass School Band
Welcoming all enthusiastic singers and instrumentalists to the Compass School Band! The session will provide an exciting opportunity to develop ensemble skills through learning a selection of modern songs as a group. As well as playing, we will also be composing and arranging our own music in a collaborative and creative environment.

Millwall Football Club’s development team is coming to Compass School Southwark to work with a select number of students in year 7 to help improve their technical ability and game play with the world’s most played sport.

Book SocietyIf you love to read and would like to share your thoughts with a variety of like-minded students, then Compass Book Society is for you!You will be introduced to books you may never have encountered or thought of reading. We can't promise you'll always enjoy them but they should hopefully provide plenty of discussion!
It’s a Textiles Thing
Proggy mats Develop new skills in designing and making. Learn how to create a Proggy mat, a traditional North Eastern method of rug making. You will be the designer and creator.
First AidEvery year, too many people die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. Even so, fewer than one in 10 people have been trained in first aid. We are giving Students the opportunity to learn basic life saving skills at school.

Board GamesDeveloping strategies to solve problems through traditional, non-traditional, innovative and award winning games. Students will encounter a variety of different games and will build up a repertoire of key skills to enable them to become better problem solvers.
Drama
Drama is back at Compass. This class will be fused with a hint of French “Va va voom”. This dual class will help to increase self-confidence, social skills, encourage creativity and imagination, boost your French vocabulary and have lots of fun doing it!

As part of the journalism club you will be responsible for writing and editing the Our Journey newsletter that is read by students, staff, parents and the wider Compass community.
