Health Project Example:

Swiss SME EVOLVA coordinates the project CAPPELLA “Combating cancer through novel approaches to protein-protein interaction inhibitor libraries“ - EC contribution €3.4 million over 3 years

Coordinator: Alexandra Sorensen, Evolva, Basel

The project brings together five companies, including some of Europe's leading biotech SME's and four well-recognized academic institutes to provide innovative and complementary expertise…

…to explore new sources for inhibitors of protein-protein interactions and provides one of the most promising approaches to development of novel cancer therapies.

NMP FP7: The ASMENA Project

The ASMENA project aims to create new tools and techniques for drug development and screening. Once the substances have been developed into finished pharmaceutical drugs, the clinical trials (where drugs are tested on humans) will involve less risk, and the end result wil be safer and more efficient pharmaceutical drugs.
