Studying with some of the most influential and dynamic teachers around today. Coming from a career as an Art/Museum educator I am a teacher at heart and see yoga as an art form and a path into the deepest, most beautiful and best part of ourselves; the light and brilliance that is always there and just waiting to be acknowledged. It is, as well, an ideal way to keep the mind, body and spirit healthy. I love learning from my students and have been fortunate enough to have worked with diverse clients: special needs, children, teens, retirees, pregnant women, athletes and actors, in both my native US and Europe teaching in both English and Spanish. WORK HISTORY - 2016- Present : community and private classes Magana Mararte: :Torrelodones – Madrid - 2005- 2016 : Private Home Studio :Torrelodones – Madrid: Give private and small group classes: Most of my private classes are Hatha yoga: Anusara and vinyasa flow based (Yoga as medicine , rehabilitaction and an aid for special needs and learning disabilities). - 2016 Bamboo Loft Yoga Studio: Omagh, Ireland: Guest teacher -2011/2014/2015/2016 Kaliyoga: Orgiva Guest teacher: facilitate, guide and teach exclusive and high end weeklong intensive yoga retreats for international clientele. : www.kaliyoga.com -2010 - ART SURF CAMP: I Started the Yoga program for a well known Surf camp in Galicia, Spain- Large classes (10 – 50 people) – mixed levels and ages (10- 65 years old)- mostly pre-adolescents- teenage students– Specialized classes/training for surf professionals private and group. www.artsurfcamp.com -2009-2011 Yoga Zone : Madrid: Group classes for Anusara based yoga studio. - 2009 – 2010: HARTFORD – City of Madrid Cultural Affairs Department: Taught Hatha yoga classes to retirees over the age of 65 at a government based social program. Classes were large and resources scarce - - 2008- 2010: EKLEGEIN Torrelodones – Madrid: Vinyasa based group classes to athletes (marathon runners, climbers and cyclists) and pregnancy classes.
