July 10 = “Forgotten Treasures” Indoor
Yard Sale
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”…maybe we should reword that to say “One quilter’s former stash is another quilter’s current treasure?” We’ll be selling fat quarters, yardage, miscellaneous quilting supplies, books, and patterns at very, very reduced prices. You might find that piece of fabric that you’ve been missing to complete that prize winning quilt you’ve been working on. We will also sell raffle tickets for numerous opportunity baskets and also have a few items available for silent auction.
Come support OCQG and join us on Tuesday July 10th at 7:00pm.
It should be a lot of fun.

registered, you will have priority registration from July 10th thru September 11th to sign up for

President’s Article
Hello fellow quilters!
We had a great presentation by Sandy Klop, American Jane, at our June meeting. Wow, what
inspiring quilts! I was happy I could take the day off for her workshop (well, I attended half of
it before going to my nephew’s high school graduation); so much fun! Judy Dimmick
challenged us to have our quilts done by our October meeting – seems like a tight timeline for
me but I think some may have already finished!
I did finish a quilt in June but was not able to bring it for Sew & Tell because I had to deliver it
to Oregon when I went the weekend of June 2nd. So, I’m putting a picture of it here. I made it
for my quilting cousin Dena and her husband Dennis. They were married in June 2011 – but I
made it within a year of the wedding date so I’m happy! It is the “Lover’s Knot” pattern by
Quilt in a Day (it took more than a day!).
Be sure to join us in July for our general meeting:
Forgotten Treausres! There will be lots of bargains! Big
thank you to Pam Gayle for organizing this and thank you
also to the team that helped her make all of the
donations ready to sale! This is our fundraiser for this
year so please come and support your guild (this helps to
pay for our speakers!) and bring some friends! Admission
for non-members is only $5, as usual.
Get involved in your guild and let’s have a great 2012/2013!

Camp Watch-A-Patcher is coming July 7-11, 2013…Save the Dates
Camp has always been the most fun thing that I’ve gone to in our Guild. It’s four days of Friends, Fun,
Quilting, and more. And Vanguard University is a beautiful and flat venue to be at. You can stay all four
days, be a day camper, or just come to the evening programs. Start planning now to come. It’ll be here
before you know it.
Other dates to remember:
Tuesday December 11, 2012 = CWAP Kick-Off
January 2013 – Date TBD = CWAP Registration
