Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness at or below 12,000 feet. Thiscloudiness is the mean cloud cover detectedduring sunrise to sunset (SR.SS), or midnight tomidnight (MN-MN).
Satellite data are used to derive cloudiness above12,000 feet. Effective Cloud Amount is based onthe cloud cover and the transparency of theclouds within the satellite field or view (approx.31X31 miles).
Sky Condition is based on the sum (not to exceed8) of the sunrise to sunset cloud cover below andabove 12,000 feet. lioth ceilometer and satelliteditto must be present to compute Sky Condition.Clear = 0-2 oktas, Partly Cloudy = 3.6 oktas,Cloudy = 7.8 oktas.
A Heating (Cooling) Degree Day is the differencebetween the average daily temperature and 65degrees F. The H1) season begins July 1, theCDD season begins January 1.
-Dew Point is the temperature to which the airmust be cooled to achieve 100% relativehumidity. Wet Bulb is the temperature the airwould have ir cooled to saturation at constantpressure by evaporation of water into it.

Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness at-dr.below!. 2,000.feet. This cloudinessis the mean cloud cover detected during sunrise tosunset (SR-SS), or midnight to midnight(MN-MN).
Satellite data are used to derive cloudiness above12,000 feet. Effective Cloud Amount is based on thecloud cover and the transparency of the cloudswithin the satellite field of view (approx. 31x31miles).
Sky Condition is based on the sum (not to exceed8) of the sunrise to sunset cloud cover below andabove 12,000 feet. Both ceilometer and satellitedata must be present to compute Sky Condition.Clear = 0=-2oktas, Partly Cloudy = 3-6 oktas,Cloudy = 7-8 oktas.
A Heating (Cooling) Degree Day is the differencebetween the average daily temperature and 65degrees F The HDD season begins July 1, the CDDseason begins January 1.
Dew Point is the temperature to which the air mustbe cooled to achieve 100% relative humidity.Wet Bulb is the temperature the air would have ifcooled to saturation at constant pressure byevaporation of water into it.
Snow Depth, Snowfall, and Sunshine data maycome from nearby sites that the National WeatherService deems.Cl imatoldgically representative ofthis site.

WASHINGTON DC, DCSEPTEMBER 2005
Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness at or below 12,000 feet. This cloudinessis the mean -loud -over detected during sunrise tosunset (SR-SS), or midnight to midnight(MN-MN).
Both ceilometer and satellitedata must be present to compute Sky Condition.Clear = 0-2 oktas, Partly Cloudy = 3-6 oktas,Cloudy = 7-8 oktas.
A Heating (Cooling) Degree Day is the differencebetween the average daily temperature and 65degrees F. The HDD season begins July 1, the CDDseason begins January 1.
Dew Point is the temperature to which the air mustbe cooled toachieve 100% relative humidity.Wet Bulb is the temperature the air would have ifcooled to saturation at constant pressure byevaporation of water into it.
Snow Depth, Snowfall, and Sunshine data maycome from nearby sites that the National WeatherService deems Climatologically representative ofthis site.

Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness.at or below 12,000 feet. This cloudinessis the mean cloud cover detected during sunrise tosunset (SR-SS), or midnight to midnight(MN-MN).
Satellite data are used to derive cloudiness above12,000 feet. Effective Cloud Amount is based on thecloud cover and the transparency, of the cloudswithin the satellite field of view (approx. 31x31miles).
Sky Condition is based on the sum (not to exceed8) of the sunrise to sunset cloud cover below andabove 12,000 feet.
Dew Point is the temperature to which the air mustbe cooled to achieve 100% relative humidity.Wet Bulb is the temperature the air would have ifcooled to saturation at constant pressure byevaporation of water into it.
Snow Depth, Snowfall, and Sunshine data maycome from nearby sites that the National WeatherService deems Climatologically representative ofthis site.

Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness at or below 12,000 feet. This cloudinessis the mean cloud cover.detected during sunrise tosunset (SR-SS), or midnight to midnight(MN-MN).
Both ceilometer and satellitedata must be present to compute Sky Condition.Clear = 0-2 oktas, Partly Cloudy = 3-6 oktas,Cloudy = 7-8 oktas.
A Heating (Cooling) Degree Day is the differencebetween the-.average daily temperature and 65degrees F The HDD season begins July 1, the CDDseason begins January 1.
Dew Point is the temperature to which the air mustbe cooled to achieve 100% relative humidity.Wet Bulb is the temperature the air would have ifcooled to saturation at constant pressure byevaporation of water into it.
Snow Depth, Snowfall, and Sunshine data maycome from nearby sites that the National WeatherService deems, Climatologically, representative ofthis site.

Ceilometer (30-second) data are used to derivecloudiness at or below 12,000 feet. This cloudinessis the mean cloud cover detected during sunrise tosunset (SR-SS), or midnight to midnight(MN- MN).
Satellite data are used to derive cloudiness above12,000 feet. Effective Cloud Amou nt is based on thecloud cover and the transparency of the cloudswithin the satellite field oa view (approx. 31x31miles).
Sky Condition is based on the sum (not to exceed8) of the sunrise to sunset cloud cover below andabove 12,000 feet, Both ceilometer and satellitedata must be present to compute Sky Condition.Clear = 0-2 okras, Partly Cloudy = 3-6 oklas,Cloudy = 7-8 oktas.
A Heating (Cooling) Degree Day is the differencebetween the average daily temperature and 65degrees F. The HDD season begins July 1, the CDDseason begins January 1.
