Fresh year, new faces in officer positions, getting back into our parishes more and more, and seeing people we haven't seen in months. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every officer who served this last year in any capacity. I hope to have more words of wisdom for you in the near future once I can talk to the state but for now I would say we should look to returning to our normal meeting routine in July (with your pastor's permission of course) and getting all the paperwork completed that Supreme and the state are needing. I will be contacting you in regards to officer installation but that is low on my priority list in light of what is currently happening in our lives. In addition, please remember to support your parishes both physically and financially. We are slowly getting back into our buildings and there are some who are unable to return as of now and need our help. Volunteer wherever you can and make sure you are getting your tithes to the church. God Bless, Brian Rodgers [email protected] 701.240.3439

Sir Knights,

I pray this note finds you and your families healthy. Since March I have not attended a lot of meetings, have attended a few virtual meetings, and I have found I missed the meetings. Not really the meetings but more so the interaction with others, in particular my Brother Knights and Sir Knights. As restrictions are loosening up please still be aware of what we need to do to stay healthy and keep others healthy. Keep looking our for your neighbors and friends.

As I mentioned at our June, the Columbian has a new manager, Terrie. Shirley has done a spectacular job managing the Knights of Columbus Club, that became the Columbian, for over 40 years. Please join us at the Columbian on July 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for an open house to share our appreciation to Shirley for all that she has done and to celebrate Shirley’s retirement. She will most certainly be missed.

Sir Knights and Ladies, I look forward to seeing you at our next meeting on July 28th. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Vivat Jesus,

Dan Heald

Our Lady of Grace Council 4894

Prayer Intention of Pope Francis

for July 2020

Our Families

We pray that today's families may be

accompanied with love, respect and guidance.

Brother Knights, As we move into our third month of social distancing, our council had our first meeting in as many months. We were able to use the Chapel for the Rosary, followed by our meeting in the lower level. It was great to see and visit with our Brothers, even though we had to keep a safe distance from each other. The Grand Knight selected Brian Benson as the Knight of the Month. We are proud to have Mike and Sue Nilson as the Family of the Month. If you cross paths with this month’s selectees, please let them know you appreciate all their hard work in supporting the Church. We will begin the new fraternal year on July 1st. Having said that, Council 4894’s nominating committee recom-mended that the officers who are currently serving, retain their positions throughout the new fraternal year. The only exceptions will be Brother Jeff Schmidt who will become the advocate. The Knights of Columbus club has changed its name to The Columbian. They are still in the process of getting a new sign. It is open for full service dining and the hours

remain the same. After 40 plus years of managing the club, Shirley Bickler is retiring the end of June. She and her expertise in juggling so many pans on the fire will be greatly missed. In closing, I ask that you pray for any Brother Knight you know of who is in need of our prayers. I hope that our Heavenly Father will return our nation to normalcy, if that be His blessing. May our Lord keep you and your family safe as we continue into the summer heat. Vitae Jesu, Fred Coleman Communications Director

Brother Knights

I hope this finds you and your family well.

It has been a while since we have all been together but things are starting to open up and getting back to somewhat normal. It sure is great to get back to Mass!

We will be meeting in July at the church and will start getting things back on track.

I will e-mail everyone details as we get closer. Thanks for all you do.

God Bless

Kevin Sebastian Grand Knight, Council 9906

Brother Knights,

I pray this note finds you and families healthy. I have missed seeing you at meetings. On July 7th we will begin meeting again. For those not in a position to join the meeting I will e-mail out the minutes so you are still aware of what your council is up to.

Just before our world was put on hold the Columbian House Committee members began looking for a new manager for The Columbian. Shirley has done a spectacular job managing the Knights of Columbus Club, that is not named The Columbian, for over 40 years.

Please join us at The Columbian on July 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for an open house to share our appreciation to Shirley for all that she has done and to celebrate Shirley’s retirement. She will most certainly be missed.

Fear not, the Columbian is not closing. Stop in, visit with Terrie, our new manager, and welcome her to our family.

Brother Knights, I look forward to seeing you at our next meet-ing on July 7th, if not sooner.

Viviat Jesus,

Dan Heald Grand Knight, Council 1150

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer

and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests

known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses

all understanding will guard your hearts and minds

Little Flower Council 9839

Council 9839 has not had a breakfast since March and our giving has followed suit, we hope to get back on track in August if God wills it so that we can assist with those good groups that do God’s work so Passionately. Our Council is offering our homebound and shut- inns the opportunity to contact us with any grocery shopping or pick-up and delivery of any other essentials they may need. Father Ken continues to Livestream the 8:30 am Mass on Sundays, as well as his weekday Masses, this is a great benefit for those homebound and in the Nursing Home. We recently purchased a new camera system that makes this virtual Mass a much better view (also sound), Father Ken is a great tech guy and does a tremendous job with this new system, he feels very strongly about reaching out to all of our Parishioners! I am sure we all have attended so many virtual meeting these last months that I am not sure we will be able to have a conversation with one another when the time comes! Our Brother Paul Phillips actually entered the Knights and became 3rd degree virtually, we congratulate Paul and welcome him to our Council. Please continue to

walk with Jesus, to endure your struggles and sufferings during this crazy time in our country, to completely Trust Jesus and to be people of Hope and live our lives with Joy at The Risen Christ! We are praying for safety and good health amongst your families. Please pray for those who have died from this horrible virus and their families. Always remember, God’s Mercy has no limits! Please when you pray your Rosaries these days, I would ask you to pray 1 decade for the in-tention of PEACE in all people’s hearts. We will have no Knight, Family or Server of the Month again this Month, as we will only recognize Jesus Christ in those who have died , who will die from this virus, Je-sus Christ in those ignorant of the Incarnate word. Let us also pray for the brave Men and Women who so coura-geously work to care and fight to put an end to the virus. Let us always support our Holy Father, Bishops, Priests and Deacons who relentlessly spread the good news of the Gospel and promote the true Peace our Lord desires for each of us. God’s PEACE Deacon tom
