receive
bids for its TDHCA HOME Pro-gram #1002543 RSP#2017-0005 until 2
p.m. on August 7, 2020, at Slaton City Hall, 130 S. 9th, Sla-ton,
Texas 79364 to complete the reconstruction of Two (2) single family
units with 1,157 square feet per unit. All units must be completed
within 120 days from the notice to proceed. Only con-tractors with
a minimum of 5 years of successful home building will be accepted.
If you are a first-time bidder on the TDHCA HOME Pro-gram, a list
of references will be required and will be reviewed. to demonstrate
contractor’s quali-fications to perform the work, contractor shall
submit written evidence such as financial data, present commitments
and such other data as may be called for in the contractor’s
Quali-fication Statement. Contractor shall provide a performance
and payment bond or standby letter of credit with requirements and
conditions as specified for the total amount of projects to be
awarded. Contractor must provide proof of Liability Insurance and
Builders Risk Insurance. All work must be met the following codes:
2012 International residential code, energy requirements according
to texas Health and Safety code chapter 388, and 2306.514 for
accessibility, all local building codes, standards and
specifica-tions. Contractor must ensure that employees/applicants
for employ-ment are not discriminated against because of race,
color, religion, sex, or national origin. The con-tract will be
subject to Section 3, EEO and other applicable cross cutting
regulations. The City will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting on Wednesday,
July 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The bid packages will be available at
City Hall on July 23, 2020. The City of Slaton reserves the right
to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality in the bidding.

2020 at 2:00 p.m. The City may hold bids for a period not to exceed
forty-five (45) days from the date of the bid opening for the
purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications
