NEW BEGINNINGS- Helen Steiner Rice
ld generation has been always saying that the young are not what they were. The same observation is made Ofrom generation to generation and it is always true. It has never been truer than it is nowadays. The young are
better cultured. They have a lot more money to spend and enjoy more liberty. They cultivate up more quickly and are
not so reliant on their parents. They consider more for themselves and do not carelessly receive the principles of their
elders. Events which the older generation recalls intensely are nothing more than historical history. This is as it should
be. Every new generation is different from the one that headed it. Today the alteration is very marked definitely. The
old always undertake that they know best far the simple motive that they have lien around a bit lengthier. They don't
like to sense that their values are being asked or threatened. And this is exactly what the young are doing. They are
questioning the expectations of their elders and worrying their contentment. They take leave to distrust that the older
generation has shaped the best of all possible worlds. What they reject more than anything is traditionalism.

Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter. It is about laying the groundwork for others' success, and then standing back and letting them shine. -Chris Hadeld

For my parents' generation, the idea was not that marriage was about some kind of idealized, romantic love; it was a partnership. It's about creating family; it's about creating offspring. Indian culture is essentially much more of a 'we' culture. It's a communal culture where you do what's best for the community - you procreate. -
