In October of 2014, the City of Middleton hosted two government officials from the young nation of Timor-Leste (formerly the Indonesian province of East Timor) through the International City Man-agement Association's Professional Fellows Pro-gram. The goal of the program was to provide inspiration and guidance while imparting how de-mocracy works on the local level in the U.S. In turn, City Administrator Mike Davis traveled to Timor-Leste in March of 2015 to tour the country and meet with local government officials. All costs were paid by the U.S. State Department. Join Mike as he relates his experiences touring Timor-Leste and shares photographs from his trip.
